So I heard that Mortal Kombat 1 is coming out soon, like September 19th. But if you are like me and can’t wait that long, there is a way to get your hands on it a bit earlier. I found out that if you buy the Premium Edition or Kollector’s Edition, you can play the game before the official launch. I immediately pre-ordered the Premium Edition.
I started digging around to see exactly when this “early access” would begin. NetherRealm Studios announced the game way back on May 18, 2023, and they mentioned the September 19th date then. But for us early birds, the real question was, what time could we actually start playing?

After some searching, I finally got the details. Turns out, the early access kicks off at different times depending on where you are.
- For those on the west coast like me, it’s 10 AM PDT.
- If you’re on the east coast, that’s 1 PM EDT.
- For folks over in the UK, it’s 6 PM BST.
- And in Central Europe, it starts at 7 PM CEST.
- For people who live in India, it is 9 AM IST (6th September).
Preparation and Waiting
Once I had the times, I marked it on my calendar and set a reminder on my phone. I made sure I had everything ready: my console was updated, the game was pre-loaded, and I even took the day off work – no way was I missing this! The wait was agonizing. I kept checking the countdown timer online, watching the minutes slowly tick by. I read every article I could find about the game, watched trailers, and even joined a few online forums to chat with other excited fans.
Finally Playing
When the clock finally hit the magic hour, I jumped on my console and launched the game. It was surreal. There I was, finally playing Mortal Kombat 1 before most of the world. The graphics were amazing, the gameplay was smooth, and I was totally immersed. I spent hours exploring the new features, trying out different characters, and just soaking it all in.
Getting early access to Mortal Kombat 1 was totally worth it. From the moment I heard about it, to the anticipation leading up to the launch, and finally getting to play, the whole experience was a blast. If you’re a huge fan like me, I definitely recommend getting in on the early access action. It’s a great way to experience the game before everyone else and get a head start on mastering all the new moves and characters.
