Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this Leatherworking thing in Dragonflight, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I’m not gonna lie, I started this whole thing thinking I could make some quick gold, ’cause who doesn’t want that, right?
First off, I had to get my hands on some leather. And scales. Lots of it. I spent hours running around, skinning every beast I could find. My bags were overflowing with the stuff. It wasn’t glamorous, but hey, it’s part of the process.

Then came the crafting part. I jumped into the crafting orders, trying to figure out what was hot and what was not. High-end gear seemed like a good bet, so I started pumping those out. Let me tell you, the first few attempts were… well, let’s just say they weren’t exactly masterpiece. But I kept at it, experimenting with different patterns and materials. I burned through a lot of leather, but I was learning. Slowly.
I also tried making those leg enchants. They seemed to be in demand, so I figured, why not? It was a bit of a learning curve, getting the right combination of materials, but once I got the hang of it, I was churning those out like a machine.
Results?
- Gold-making: Yeah, it’s possible. But it ain’t exactly a get-rich-quick scheme. I had to put in the hours, both in gathering materials and crafting. And I had to be smart about what I was making. It’s not like I was rolling in gold, but I made a decent chunk. Spamming world quests is also a good way. You know, 20-30k a week. I mean, I also heard that some folks buy those WoW tokens and sell them for gold.
- Leveling: It’s a grind. No way around it. But as I leveled up, I unlocked new patterns and recipes, which was kinda cool. It felt like I was actually progressing, even if it was slow.
- Frustration: Oh yeah, there was plenty of that. Sometimes I felt like I was just throwing gold down the drain, especially when a craft would fail or when the market would get flooded with the same item I was trying to sell.
So, would I recommend Leatherworking in Dragonflight? Honestly, it depends. If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to make gold, this ain’t it. But if you’re willing to put in the time and effort, and you enjoy the crafting process, then it can be rewarding. Just don’t expect to become a millionaire overnight. It takes time to start seeing results. You’ve been warned!
I’m still learning new things every day. Maybe I’ll find some lazy way to make gold with Leatherworking. Who knows? For now, I’m just gonna keep crafting and see where it takes me. It’s a long road, but I’m in it for the long haul. You know? That’s pretty much it for now. Hope it helps.
