So, today I tried to preload Lies of P. I already bought this game, and I thought I could try to preload it, ’cause the official release date is September 19th. Guess what? It’s totally doable!
First, I opened up Steam and went straight to my library. There it was, Lies of P, sitting there all ready for me.

There’s a big button that says “Preload”, so I just smashed that button. It’s kinda obvious, but yeah, you gotta have already bought the game to do this. Steam will not let you play it though, gotta wait for the official launch.
- Open Steam.
- Go to your library.
- Find Lies of P.
- Hit the “Preload” button.
Then, I noticed that there was a countdown timer right below the title. It was ticking down to the release time. I could see how many hours I need to wait.
If you are on Xbox
Now, I heard that Lies of P is coming to Xbox Game Pass on the same day, September 19th. So, if you’re an Xbox person, you can apparently preload it too. I don’t have an Xbox, so I didn’t try that, but I bet the steps are pretty similar.
Other things I found out
I also stumbled upon some random info while I was at it. Some folks were talking about how you could use a character in some “Classic Era” or “Era Hardcore” mode and set up your settings just the way you like. Also found out about a tool called Vulkan, which apparently builds game caches faster than something called OpenGL. Whatever that means.
There’s some talk about upgrading your weapons and buying “full moonstones” for gameplay, but I just wanna play the damn game. Anyway, that’s how I preloaded Lies of P today. It was easy, and now I just gotta wait for the release. Can’t wait to play it!
