Okay, so let me tell you about this little experiment I did with these so-called “fracture case knives.” I saw some buzz about them online, figured I’d give it a shot, you know, just for kicks.
First off, I went ahead and got myself a bunch of these Fracture Cases. They are supposed to have these community-designed weapon finishes, some of the stuff looks kinda cool. These things dropped about 4 years ago, I guess there were not as popular as now. I bought them in batches. The price is not very high, and the official introduction said, “The Fracture Case is a weapon case featuring 17 community-designed weapon finishes and along with the Shattered Web Case knives (Paracord Knife, Survival Knife, Skeleton Knife, Nomad Knife), in the standard knife finishes”.

I started opening these cases one by one, I just want to see how lucky I am. I know the possibility to get a knife is 0.26%, which is pretty low. I recorded the whole thing, it was kind of a grind, but hey, I was curious. I did not even see a red skin.
Then, I started with a second batch. Opened a few more, still nothing too crazy, started to get a little impatient. Most of them are blue skins. But hey, finally got a pink one. Not bad, not bad. The third batch, however, gave me another pink one. They are not as expensive as I thought, probably just cover the cost of the case.
And wouldn’t you know it, in the middle of the next batch of cases, I finally hit a knife! It was a Paracord Knife, and it looks pretty cool. I kept going, just to see if I could get another one, you know, push my luck a bit. Opened probably another fifty or so cases after that, and got a few more of those rare skins, a couple of reds, they are not that expensive as I thought. It will cover the cost but not very profitable.
- Opened a ton of Fracture Cases.
- Got mostly common stuff at the start, a few rare ones.
- Finally got a Paracord Knife!
- Kept going, got some more rare skins but no more knives.
My Thoughts
So, yeah, that was my little adventure with the fracture case knives. Was it worth it? Honestly, probably not from an investment standpoint, I think only make 41% of profit. But it was definitely fun to see what I’d get. If you’re thinking about trying it, just remember it’s all about luck, and don’t expect to get rich quick!
