Alright, folks, gather ’round, because today I’m gonna spill the beans on something that’s been bugging me for a while – the start date for the new season of League of Legends.
So, I woke up this morning, same as any other day, and the first thing that popped into my head was, “When’s the new LoL season kicking off?” I mean, I’ve been itching to get back into the grind, climb that ranked ladder, and maybe, just maybe, hit that sweet, sweet Diamond rank this year.
First things first, I grabbed my phone and fired up the good old Google. I typed in “LoL season 2024 start date,” and boy, was I bombarded with a ton of info. After a bit of scrolling and clicking, I found some websites, even the official League of Legends patch notes talking about the start date.
Now, these sites were saying different things, and some were talking about the “Season 14.” And you know what they all said? January 10, 2024, that’s the magic date! Apparently, the new season, or “Season 14” as some folks are calling it, started on that day. And for most of us, it kicked off right at noon, local time. How neat is that?
But wait, there’s more! I dug a little deeper and found out that there are these things called “Splits.” It’s like the season is broken down into smaller chunks. And guess what? The first split started right at the start of 2024, on January 10th. Also find that there’s this Split 3 thing, and it’s gonna start right after Split 2 ends, on September 25, 2024.
Then there’s this other thing I found. So, the whole 2024 season is gonna wrap up on January 9, 2025. That’s when all our ranks get locked in, no more changes after that.
- Checked some sites and patch notes – they all said January 10th.
- Found out about “Splits” – first one started on January 10th.
- Split 3 starts on September 25, 2024.
- The whole season ends on January 9, 2025.
So, yeah, that’s the gist of it. I was super pumped to find out when the new season started, and it was kind of cool to learn about these Splits and the season end date. Now I can finally plan my climb, set some goals, and get ready to dive back into the Rift!
What about Season 2014?
While I was digging around, I also stumbled upon some info about Season 2014. I guess that’s what they called “Season 4” back in the day. Seems like its pre-season started on November 20th. But hey, that’s ancient history now, right?
