Okay, so I’ve been messing around with “MLB The Show 23” lately, specifically with the Live Series players, and I gotta say, it’s been a wild ride. I wanted to share my experience because I think it’s pretty interesting, and maybe some of you will find it helpful.
First off, I started by looking up some stuff about the game online. Found this site, *, that had a bunch of player ratings and stuff. It was kinda cool to browse through, but I wasn’t really sure what I was looking for at first.

Then I remember reading somewhere that it’s a good idea to complete the Padres team first. Apparently, you can get some good players that way, especially before this Tatis guy comes back. So, I dove into the game and started grinding away at those Padres challenges. It was tough, not gonna lie. I’m not the best at these games, but I was determined.
One thing I realized pretty quickly was that I sucked at hitting. Like, really sucked. I was swinging and missing all the time. So, I went into the settings and messed around with the difficulty and sliders. I know, I know, some people say that’s cheating, but I was getting frustrated, okay? I dropped the difficulty down to Rookie, and you know what? It made the game a lot more fun for me. I started actually hitting the ball, and it felt good.
A Little Help From the Settings
- Lowered the difficulty: Yeah, I went down to Rookie. No shame in my game.
- Adjusted sliders: I tweaked a few things here and there to make hitting easier.
After playing on Rookie for a while, I started to get the hang of it. I completed the Padres set and got some decent players. I was feeling pretty good about myself. Then I decided to tackle the National League, and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I heard the American League is way tougher because of players like Trout and Ohtani, but I haven’t gotten there yet.
As I was playing, I noticed that the game saves a lot of data. So, I found their support website, which allows me to make a request to delete my data. It’s good to know that’s an option, I guess.
Overall, it’s been a fun experience. I’m still not great at the game, but I’m definitely improving. And honestly, messing with the settings was the best thing I did. It made the game way more enjoyable for me. So, if you’re struggling with “MLB The Show 23,” don’t be afraid to adjust the difficulty or sliders. It might just make the game a whole lot more fun for you too.
Anyway, that’s my story with “MLB The Show 23” and the Live Series players so far. It’s been a learning process, but I’m having a good time with it. Maybe I’ll update you guys later when I take on the American League. Wish me luck!
