Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another post. Today I wanna talk about my recent experience messing around with Gavi in FIFA 23. For those who don’t know, Gavi is this young, Spanish midfielder who plays for FC Barcelona. He is only 18 years old. I think his foot is right.
So, I started a new career mode a couple of weeks back, and I decided to manage Barcelona. I’d heard a lot about this Gavi kid, and obviously, I wanted to see what the hype was all about. At the beginning of the game, he’s got a 79 rating. Not bad for an 18-year-old, but I knew there was potential for more.

First thing I did was put him in the starting lineup. I mean, you gotta play the kid to see him grow, right? I started him in a bunch of matches, mainly in the central midfield position. He’s got decent stats, and the game says he’s got 4-star skills and a 4-star weak foot. He is a good player in the midfield. I remember one time I checked his price on the Xbox market, it was something like 45,000 coins. But that was a while ago, maybe a year or so.
Game Performance
- I played him in almost every match, and man, did he improve. His passing, his tackling, everything just got better and better.
- There were a few matches where he really shone. I remember one game against a tough opponent, and Gavi scored a banger from outside the box. I was like, “Yeah, that’s my boy!”
- I also noticed he was pretty versatile. Sometimes I’d play him a bit further up the field, and he’d still perform well. I heard some people say that he looks like he works 9-5 job every day.
I kept playing him week in and week out, and his rating just kept going up. I think by the end of the first season, he was already in the mid-80s. It’s crazy how much these young players can develop if you just give them a chance. I don’t know his exact rating now, probably 85. But I did see a post somewhere that said there was a 93-rated Gavi card in some special mode. And I heard people talking about a card of him that’s rated 79. It seems like he’s got a bunch of different versions in the game. Some said he is overrated. I don’t know why they said that. Maybe they thought he was expensive. But honestly, I think he’s worth it. He always performed well for me, and he’s only going to get better.
Anyway, that’s my experience with Gavi in FIFA 23. If you’re managing Barcelona or any other team and you get a chance to sign him, I’d say go for it. He’s a real talent, both in the game and in real life. I’m excited to see what the future holds for him. Oh, and before I forget, I also saw some chatter online about other players, like Darwin Nunez. Some people were saying he doesn’t have a face scan in the game yet. Not sure if that’s true, but it would be cool if they updated that.
Alright, that’s it for this post. Let me know in the comments if you’ve had any cool experiences with Gavi or any other young players in FIFA 23. Catch you guys in the next one!
