Okay, so, I’ve been digging into this whole MLB The Show roster update thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey. I wanted to keep my game fresh, you know? Like, having the latest players and their stats is a big deal for me. So, I started poking around to figure out how this whole update schedule works.
First, I did some basic searching. I found out that they usually push out these updates every two weeks. Every other week, that’s pretty good to keep things current. That made sense. The real world of baseball changes so fast, trades happen, players get better or worse, you gotta keep up!

Then, I started to hunt for the dates. I mean, knowing it’s biweekly is one thing, but I wanted specifics. I wanted to know when exactly I had to do the updating so I wouldn’t miss one. That’s when things got a bit trickier. I checked out a few places, and saw some dates thrown around. It looks like there isn’t really a hard-set schedule posted everywhere.

Then, I got to thinking, “How do I even do these updates?” Turns out, it’s pretty simple. You just go to the main menu in the game, find the ‘Rosters’ section, and there should be an option to download the latest updates. I tried it out myself, and bam, it worked like a charm. Updated rosters right there!
Another thing I learned is that teams can have up to 40 players under contract, but the active roster is usually 26 players. That’s good to know if you’re into managing your team and all that.
So, after all this digging and experimenting, I feel like I’ve got a good handle on the MLB The Show roster update schedule. It’s about staying on top of the announcements and making sure to download those updates when they drop. It is pretty easy to do the updating, after all.
This whole process taught me a lot, I like to keep things up-to-date in my game, and now I know how to do it. If you’re a big MLB The Show fan like me, hopefully, this little adventure of mine helps you out too!
