Okay, so today I want to talk about my little adventure with diving for sea creatures in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, specifically what I did in January.
I got my wet suit on, which, you know, is pretty essential for diving. It’s kind of funny how you just throw it on over your regular clothes, but hey, it works! Once I was all suited up, I headed out to the ocean that surrounds my lovely island. It’s always so peaceful out there.

The first thing I did was just swim around a bit to get a feel for the area. You gotta look for those little bubbles coming up from the seabed. Those bubbles are your clue that there’s something down there to grab. I started to swim around to find bubbles. I saw some bubbles and swam over. I pressed “Y” to dive when I got to the bubbles.
When I saw a shadow, I went for it! Sometimes, these little critters are fast, so you gotta be quick on the joystick. It’s a bit of a chase, but that’s part of the fun, right? Anyway, I dove down, and I got a sea star! Nice! Then I spotted another shadow a little further out. This time I dove down to get a sea anemone. After an hour of swimming around and diving, I already caught a bunch of sea creatures. Some are easy to catch, some are really hard! The Gigas Giant Clam is really hard to catch. I tried to dive to catch it, but it ran away. Maybe next time.
After a couple of hours of diving, I decided to head back to the shore. I sold my sea creatures in Nook’s Cranny for some bells. I heard that the sea pig is pretty rare, but I didn’t find one of them today. I’ll keep trying though. Maybe I’ll get lucky tomorrow.
So yeah, that was my day of sea creature hunting in Animal Crossing. It’s such a relaxing way to spend the afternoon in the game, and it’s always exciting to see what you’re gonna find. Plus, filling up the museum’s sea creature exhibit is super satisfying. If you guys have any tips on catching those rare sea creatures or if you just wanna share your own diving stories, feel free to let me know!
