Hey everyone, today I want to talk about my recent deep dive into figuring out the best moveset for Litleo in Pokémon Go. It’s been quite a journey, so grab a snack, and let’s get into it!
So, I started by catching a bunch of Litleos. I mean, a whole lot of them. My storage was almost full of these little fire lions! I figured the more I caught, the better my chances of finding one with great stats.

Then, I started evolving some of them into Pyroar. I learned that Litleo evolves into Pyroar at level 35, and it keeps its Fire/Normal type. That’s pretty cool, right? I was so excited to see my little Litleos grow up into these majestic beasts.
Next, I dug into the movesets. I read somewhere that Pyroar’s best moveset is Fire Fang and Overheat. Apparently, this combo gives you a damage per second (DPS) of 13.63 and a total damage output (TDO) of 197.4. And guess what? These moves get a boost in Sunny weather. Who knew?
- I spent hours battling with different Litleos and Pyroars. Gym battles, raids, you name it.
- I even tried using different fast attacks like Ember, Tackle, and Incinerate.
- But Fire Fang really seemed to pack the biggest punch.
I also found out that Litleo has this cool ability called Moxie. It boosts its Attack stat after it knocks out an opponent. With a good physical movepool and Flame Charge, a Moxie Litleo can actually sweep through teams if you play it right. It’s like a snowball effect! I actually had a few good runs with this setup.
And for those of you wondering how to counter a Litleo, I discovered that Pokemon like Mega Lucario, Shadow Groudon, Primal Groudon, and Primal Kyogre are your best bets. I learned that the hard way, believe me.
After all this experimenting, I finally settled on a Litleo with Fire Fang and Overheat, and let me tell you, it’s been a game-changer. My Pyroar is now a beast in battles, especially when the sun’s out. It’s been so satisfying seeing all that hard work pay off.
So, that’s my Litleo adventure in a nutshell. It took a lot of time, a lot of Poké Balls, and a lot of battles, but I’m pretty happy with the results. If you’re trying to build a strong Litleo or Pyroar, I hope my experience helps you out. Happy training, everyone!
