Okay, guys, let’s talk about something that has been bugging me for a while – collecting toys in Doom Eternal. This game, it’s a blast, right? But those little toys scattered all over the place? They’re like a whole other game in themselves.
So, I started this whole thing pretty casually. I mean, you’re blasting demons left and right, and then, bam, there’s a cute little toy just chilling there. I picked up a few here and there, didn’t think much of it. But then, it got its claws in me. I needed them all.

First off, I went to the Doom Slayer’s office. I heard that every toy I collected shows up there. And what do you know, on the bottom left, there’s this Icon of Sin toy – a little gift for finishing the campaign. That was a nice touch.
But then I’m looking at the collectibles screen, and it’s like, “Oh, cool, I can see these demon models up close, appreciate the art and stuff.” Except now, I’m obsessed. I gotta find them all. I heard if you find every collectible, you get some achievement, “Every Nook and Cranny.” Whatever, I just want those toys!
The real grind started when I realized some of these things are hidden like crazy. There’s this one, the Lost Soul toy, it’s in the smelting room of the base. You clear out the demons, head to the back, and there’s this platform going up and down. You gotta jump on it. Simple, right? Not really, I fell like, a million times. The jump mechanics in this game, I swear, sometimes they’re just trolling you.
And that’s not even the worst of it. Some of these toys, you gotta find switches or buttons to even get to them. Like in the Doom Hunter Base, there’s one right near the boss fight entrance. You’d think it’d be easy, but no, you gotta go on a whole scavenger hunt just to find the damn switch.
I also started diving into forums and stuff. Found out there are like 31 of these toys! 31! Some folks were saying they’re right on the main path. Yeah, a few are, but most of them? You’re gonna be pulling your hair out. I found some maps that point out the locations. That was a life saver.
I also had the idea of checking out some videos online, there was this one that showcased all the toys and how they look, I’m not going to put the link here but you can search for it, it helped me a lot.
And it’s not just toys. There are all these other things you can collect – cheat codes, music tracks, these Empyrean Keys from Slayer Gates. It’s like the game is designed to make you a completionist, even if you weren’t one before.
I heard there are like 11 types of collectibles – Modbots, Sentinel Crystals, Praetor Suit Points, and a bunch more. It’s insane! I’m mainly focused on the toys, but it’s hard not to get sidetracked. I spent days, I’m not kidding, DAYS, running around these levels, looking in every corner, behind every rock. My friends think I’m nuts. Maybe I am.
But finally, after all that work, all the frustration, and all the near-controller-breaking moments, I did it. I found all the toys. And you know what? It was worth it. Seeing them all lined up in the Doom Slayer’s office, it’s a good feeling.
So yeah, that’s my story. If you’re thinking about going for all the toys in Doom Eternal, be prepared. It’s a challenge, but it’s a fun one. Just remember to take breaks, and maybe don’t throw your controller. Good luck!
