Alright, so I wanted to get good at Madden 24, figured I’d share how I got better at it. You know, for anyone who’s struggling or just hasn’t played in a while.
First off, I jumped into those mini-games in Training Camp. I chose different ones for each position. And yeah, you can’t do this for the offensive line, but everything else, you’re good. Each mini-game, it focuses on certain players, so it’s a good way to get to know your team.

Then, I started messing around with different route combos. See, it’s all about figuring out which combos beat what coverage. It took a while, but I started noticing patterns. For example, if I saw the safeties doing a certain thing, I could kind of guess what the defense was up to.
I also spent a lot of time just learning one playbook. I picked one, stuck with it, and really drilled down on the setups. It’s not as easy as it sounds, but once you get a few plays down, you start to see how you can use them in different situations.
Here’s what I did:
- Mini-games: Played a bunch of these to get familiar with different positions.
- Route Combos: Experimented to see what works against different coverages.
- Playbook: Focused on mastering one specific playbook and its setups.
- Reading Safeties: Tried to read safeties to anticipate the defense’s moves.
I watched this video by a pro Madden player, Manu. He had some good tips, but man, he talks fast! I tried to copy some of his strategies, and it helped, but it’s not like I became a pro overnight. It just gave me some ideas to work with.
Owner Mode
Oh, and I also tried out the Owner mode. It’s a whole different thing. You gotta manage the team, but also the money side of things, like signing players and taking care of the stadium. I turned on the Budgets thing, which made it even more of a headache, but hey, it’s part of the game, right?
So yeah, that’s pretty much it. I just played a lot, tried different things, and slowly got better. It’s not like there’s one big secret, you just gotta put in the time.
