Okay, so I wanted to update the rosters in MLB The Show 24 because, you know, things change, players move around, and I like to keep things as real as possible in my game. So I fired up the game and went straight to the main menu. I gotta say, navigating menus is my least favorite part of any game, but it’s gotta be done.
Once I was in the main menu, I clicked on “Settings”. From there, I found something called “File Management”. Seemed like the right place for this kind of thing. Clicked on that, and then I saw an option for “Load Data”. Figured that’s where the roster updates would be hiding.

After I clicked “Load Data,” I saw a bunch of files. I just picked the one that looked like the most recent roster update. It had a date on it, so that made it easy to figure out. Boom, loaded it up, and that was basically it.
What Did I Change?
I noticed a few changes right away. Like, I saw Blake Treinen is now the closer for the Dodgers. Danny Coulombe is now CP for the Orioles, huh, that’s new to me. Matt McLain is at shortstop for the Reds now. And Liam Hendriks is a relief pitcher for the Red Sox, that’s a pretty big change. Also noticed Tyler Wells is a starting pitcher for the Orioles, and Craig Kimbrel is their closer now? Yennier Cano is just a regular relief pitcher for them. And Jarren Duran is in right field for the Red Sox. They really shuffled things around, didn’t they?
Oh, and the game mentioned something about the next roster update being on April 5th, 2024. Apparently, they update this thing every two weeks. That’s pretty frequent, but hey, I’m not complaining. Keeps the game fresh.
Anyway, that’s how I updated my rosters in MLB The Show 24. It wasn’t too hard, just a few clicks here and there. Now I can get back to playing with the most up-to-date teams. Sweet!
