Hey guys, it’s your boy back again with another post. Today, I wanna share my experience on linking my Call of Duty account to YouTube. Sounds simple, right? Well, it took me a bit to figure it out, so I thought I’d make it easier for y’all.
First off, I started by making sure I had a Call of Duty account. If you don’t have one, well, you gotta create one. No brainer, right? Once I confirmed I was logged into my account, I moved on to the next step.
Next, I opened up YouTube and signed into my Google account. You gotta make sure you’re logged into the right one, especially if you have multiple accounts like me. I clicked on my profile picture in the top right corner, then went to “Settings”.
After that, I scrolled down the settings page until I found something that said “Connected accounts”. This is where the magic happens. I clicked on that, and I saw a bunch of options to connect different accounts.
I looked for the section for linking gaming accounts. You’ll see options for different platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, and others. But here’s the tricky part, you won’t see an option specifically for Call of Duty or Activision here.
So, I did a little digging. Turns out, to link your Call of Duty account, you gotta do it through the Activision website. Yeah, I know, it’s a bit of a roundabout way. I headed over to the Call of Duty website and logged into my Activision account.
Once I was in, I found the account settings and looked for an option to link accounts. It was a bit hidden, but I eventually spotted it. There, I saw the option to link my YouTube account. I clicked on it and followed the prompts to authorize the connection.
After a few clicks and confirmations, boom! My Call of Duty account was linked to YouTube. It wasn’t as straightforward as I thought it would be, but I managed to get it done.
- Create or log into your Call of Duty account.
- Log into your YouTube account.
- Go to YouTube “Settings” and then “Connected accounts” (but you won’t link it here).
- Head over to the Call of Duty website and log into your Activision account.
- Find the account linking option in the settings.
- Link your YouTube account and authorize the connection.
Now, why did I even bother doing this? Well, apparently, you can get some cool in-game rewards just by watching Call of Duty League streams on YouTube. Free stuff for just watching? Sign me up! Plus, it’s a neat way to keep all your gaming stuff connected.
