So, I’ve been messing around with this game called “Marvel Snap” lately. It’s a card game, but it’s way quicker than those other ones I used to play. You know, the ones that drag on forever? Yeah, not this one. Anyway, I started playing and quickly realized there are different “pools” of cards you can get. I’m still in Pool 1, which is like the beginner level, I guess. It goes from level 18 to 214, and there are 46 cards to collect in this pool.
At first, I was like, “Okay, 12 cards in a deck, that’s nothing!” But then I realized each game only goes for like 6 turns. So, 12 cards actually make sense. You don’t want to be drawing forever, right? You gotta make those 6 turns count. I’ve been trying to figure out what the best decks are for someone like me, still stuck in Pool 1. I did a bit of digging around, you know, checking out some guides and stuff online.

Experimenting with Different Strategies
First thing I noticed is that some people like to go with what they call “Zoo” decks. Basically, you just flood the board with a bunch of low-cost cards. It’s all about getting those bodies out there and overwhelming your opponent. It’s pretty straightforward, and I gave it a shot. I put in all sorts of low-cost dudes, just trying to see what would happen. I won a few games, but honestly, it felt kind of boring. Just throwing cards out there wasn’t really my style.
Finding a Deck That Clicked
So, I kept looking. I found a few more interesting decks, ones that used cards I could actually craft since I’m still new to the game. One deck, in particular, caught my eye. It used Nightcrawler, Angela, Mister Fantastic, Ant-Man, Kazar, and Blue Marvel. Some of these cards boost the power of other cards, so it’s all about building up your strength over the course of the game. I had to play a bit smarter, thinking about where I placed my cards and when to use certain abilities.
- Nightcrawler – I could move him once, so I was always trying to place him in the best spot.
- Angela – she gets stronger when you play cards at her location, so she became a real powerhouse sometimes.
- Mister Fantastic – He gave a power boost to the locations next to him, which was super useful.
- Ant-Man – If a location is full on my side, he gets a big boost.
- Kazar – Boosts all my 1-cost cards, that was powerful.
- Blue Marvel – Gives a power boost to all my cards.
I played a bunch of games with this deck, and I gotta say, it was way more fun than the Zoo strategy. I was actually winning more, too! I even managed to climb up the ranks a bit. It felt good to be making progress and figuring out the game, you know? It wasn’t just about throwing cards on the board anymore, it was more of a puzzle. It wasn’t easy at first. I made a ton of mistakes, misplayed cards, and all that. But, I kept at it, learned from my losses, and slowly started to get the hang of it. The deck is by no means perfect, and I am always tweaking it, adding new cards I unlock. I am hoping to find better cards in pool 2 and pool 3. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
