So, I was messing around in League of Legends the other day, trying to figure out this whole Serpent’s Fang thing. It’s been a hot minute since I really dug into the items, and this one kept popping up in my games.
Getting Started
First, I hopped into a few bot games. I just needed to get a feel for the item in a chill environment, you know? Picked Zed, because, well, he’s Zed and he’s good with this item. I wanted to see how this “Shield Reaver” passive really worked. It says it messes with shields, and honestly, that sounded pretty sweet against all those pesky enchanter supports and shield-heavy top laners.

Testing the Waters
- Initial Impressions: Honestly, it felt pretty good early on. I was able to rush it after my usual first item, and the extra damage it seemed to give was noticeable. Especially against those champs that like to throw up shields at the last second. It felt like my all-ins were way more potent.
- Mid-Game Mayhem: This is where I started to see the real value. Teamfights were happening more often, and I could really see Serpent’s Fang doing work. Someone would get a shield, and boom, it just felt like it got melted away way faster. I was definitely securing more kills because of it, especially on squishier targets who relied on those shields for survival.
The Verdict
After a few bot games, I moved to some normal matches and the story was pretty similar. After building this thing I felt it’s really good against certain team comps. It’s not something I’d build every single game, that’s for sure. But, man, when the enemy team has multiple shielders? It is worth to get it!.
Final Thoughts
This whole experiment was fun. It reminded me why I love League – there’s always something new to learn or a different strategy to try. If you’re an assassin player or someone who likes to deal a lot of burst damage and you see a lot of shields on the enemy team, definitely give Serpent’s Fang a try. It might just be the edge you need to carry those games.
Alright, that’s my little deep dive into Serpent’s Fang. Hope this was helpful for some of you. I am going back to playing, I will keep you updated if I found other things. Game on!
