Alright, let’s talk about my recent adventure trying to snag a Torterra in Pokemon Go. This big guy is one of my favorites, so I was pretty determined to get my hands on one.
So, first things first, I needed to find some Turtwigs. These little dudes are the first stage, and you gotta evolve them all the way up. I remembered reading somewhere that they like to hang out in grassy areas, so I figured parks and hiking trails would be a good bet. And guess what? It worked! I started hitting up all the parks in my area, even that one a little further out that I usually don’t go to. After a few days of walking around, I’d caught enough Turtwigs to start the evolution process.
Evolving them wasn’t too bad. Just needed to use up a bunch of candies, which I had been saving up from catching all those Turtwigs. Boom, Grotle. Then, more candies, and bam, Torterra! It felt great to finally have one after all that walking and catching.
But then I got to thinking, how strong is my Torterra really? I decided to try out some battles. I remember seeing that Torterra is a Tier 3 raid boss, so it should be pretty good.
- First up, trainer battles. I challenged some of my friends, just to see how Torterra would do. It was pretty fun, and we battled a bunch of times. Sometimes I won, sometimes I lost, but it was all good practice.
- Then I tried the Go Battle League. This was a bit tougher, since you’re up against trainers from all over the place. Torterra did okay, but I definitely learned a lot about strategy and team building.
- Team Rocket. They were also there. I went and battle them using Torterra to fight some of their Pokemon. It was fun.
My Overall Thoughts
Getting that Torterra was a fun little project. It took some time and effort, but it was worth it. And battling with it has been a blast, even though I’m still learning the ropes. If you’re thinking about going for a Torterra, I say do it! Just be ready to put in some steps and have some fun battling.
