Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another one of my little experiments. Today, we’re diving deep into the world of Pokemon Go, specifically focusing on Gardevoir. Yeah, that elegant Psychic/Fairy-type Pokemon that can either be your best friend or your worst nightmare in battles. I’ve been playing around with different movesets for my Gardevoir, and I think I’ve finally cracked the code to making it a beast.
So, first off, I started where any normal person would start – I jumped on the web and did some digging. There’s this cool site, I think it’s called * or something like that. You can type in any Pokemon, and it spits out all sorts of info like the best moves, what it’s good against, and where it might struggle. For Gardevoir, it was saying that for offense, the best combo is Confusion and Psychic. Makes sense, right? Double down on those Psychic attacks. But for defense, it recommended Confusion with Dazzling Gleam. This got me thinking, why not experiment and see what really works in action?

My Experiments
I started battling, a lot. Gyms, raids, you name it. I tried out the Confusion and Psychic combo first. Let me tell you, it hits hard. Gardevoir was slicing through opponents like butter. But then, I switched it up to Confusion and Dazzling Gleam for defense, especially in gyms. And wow, it held its own pretty darn well. It seemed like Dazzling Gleam was throwing off players who were probably expecting a full Psychic assault.
Then there were those special attacks. I mean, we all love those, right? I messed around with Moonblast, which, let’s be honest, is just a beast of a Fairy-type move. It’s like the ultimate weapon against those pesky Dragon-types. But then I also gave Psyshock and Psychic a go. I heard some folks online saying that Psyshock is better competitively because it targets the opponent’s defense instead of special defense. This means Gardevoir can potentially take down special walls like Chansey or Blissey, which is a huge plus.
But I didn’t stop there. I also ventured into the Battle League, because why not, right? Word on the street is that Charm, Shadow Ball, and Synchronoise are the way to go. Charm, especially, gets a nice boost since it’s the same type as Gardevoir. I tried this combo out, and it was pretty solid. Charm starts off by dealing some good damage, and then you can hit them with Shadow Ball or Synchronoise for that extra oomph.
What Worked Best
- For Raids and Gym Offense: Confusion and Psychic. It’s a powerhouse combo that just melts through opponents.
- For Gym Defense: Confusion and Dazzling Gleam. It’s a bit unexpected and can really hold the line.
- For the Battle League: Charm, Shadow Ball, and Synchronoise. It’s a versatile set that can handle a lot of different matchups.
- Special Attacks: Moonblast is a must-have for dealing with Dragon-types. Psyshock is great for breaking through special walls.
So, after all this battling and experimenting, what’s the verdict? Honestly, it depends on what you’re using Gardevoir for. But having a mix of these moves in your arsenal can make Gardevoir a formidable opponent in any situation. I learned a lot, had a blast, and now my Gardevoir is more powerful than ever. Hope this helps you guys out too. Keep on training and see you in the game!
