Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with Madden 24 lately, specifically with Joe Flacco. You know, the veteran quarterback, now with the Indianapolis Colts? Yeah, that guy.
I was curious about his stats, and I dove into the game to see what kind of player he is this time around. Turns out, his overall rating is 72. Not too shabby for a seasoned player, right?

First, I launched the game, and navigated through the menus to find the player ratings. I scrolled through the teams until I found the Colts, and then located Flacco. His card popped up, showing that 72 overall. It got me thinking, how does this compare to the old days?
I remembered back in the day, like Madden 99 and 2000, players could actually hit a 100 rating. Nowadays, 99 is the max overall, although some players still get 100 in specific categories, it seems like. I learned that Devin Hester got a 100 speed rating in Madden 08, which is crazy! I thought it was interesting to learn.
Anyway, back to Flacco. I checked out his specific attributes. His best attribute is apparently his throwing power. Makes sense, the guy’s got a cannon for an arm. I selected him to see what would happen in a regular game.
I started experimenting with him in a few games. Tried some deep bombs, tested his accuracy on short passes. He felt okay, but not stellar. I realized that his rating, to me, is fair with his performance in real life.
I also noticed that other quarterbacks in the game, like Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen, are rated way higher. But that’s expected, they’re the young guns, the faces of the league now.
It was a fun little experiment. Playing around with Flacco in Madden 24 brought back some memories of older Madden games, and it was interesting to see how he stacks up in the current game. He may not be the best quarterback in the game, but he’s still a solid choice. Plus, he’s tall, 6’6″, and weights 245 lbs! I wouldn’t want to get hit by him, haha.
- Launched Madden 24.
- Found Joe Flacco on the Indianapolis Colts roster.
- Checked his overall rating (72).
- Explored his individual attributes, noting his strong throwing power.
- Played a few games with him to get a feel for his in-game performance.
- Compared his rating to other top quarterbacks in the game.
Here’s what I did:
It’s pretty cool to see how the game reflects real-life player performance, even for veterans like Flacco. I like how the game showed me his detailed information like his height and weight. Makes me appreciate the work that goes into making these games.
