I’ve been messing around with this FIFA Ultimate Team thing, and let me tell you, it’s a grind. I decided to go after that N’Golo Kanté Flashback card because, well, who doesn’t want Kanté on their team? The dude’s a beast in midfield.
So, I started checking out what it takes to get this card. I found that you gotta complete a bunch of Squad Building Challenges (SBCs). It’s not just throwing some players together, you have to make some specific squads, meeting certain requirements. After some digging, I saw that the estimated cost of this is 1.4 million FUT coins! I almost choked on my water. That is serious coin.

First, I looked at my club to see what kind of fodder I had. “Fodder” is basically players you don’t really use in your main squad but are good for these SBCs. I had a decent amount, but not enough for a 1.4 million coin challenge. So, I started to do some other, cheaper SBCs to build up my fodder. I did a few of those daily SBCs, you know, the ones that give you some packs and players.
Then I started to get into the Kanté SBCs themselves. There are a bunch of them, like eight or nine, I think. I started with the easier ones, you know, the ones that just need some bronze or silver players. Then I moved to the ones with rated 85,86,87 squads and so on. It felt like it took forever. I was constantly checking the transfer market for good deals, trying to snipe some players for cheap.
I also played a bunch of Squad Battles and some online matches to get some extra coins and packs. Every little bit helps, right? And I was checking forums and online communities all the time to see what other people were doing. I also learned that this Kanté guy is 30 years old, has 2-star skills and a 3-star weak foot, and he’s right-footed. People used to buy him on Xbox for 20,000 coins and on PlayStation for 18,000. On PC, he was going for 24,000. But that was a couple of years back.
One tip I picked up was about the best Chemistry Style for Kanté. Most people say SHADOW is the way to go. Apparently, it gives him a big boost in pace and defending, which makes him even more of a monster in midfield.
- Started looking into the requirements for the N’Golo Kanté Flashback card.
- Realized I needed to build up my fodder through other SBCs.
- Tackled the Kanté SBCs one by one, starting with the easier ones.
- Constantly searched the transfer market for deals and played matches for extra coins.
- Figured out that the SHADOW Chemistry Style is best for maximizing Kanté’s stats.
After days of grinding, trading, and completing those challenges, I finally got him! It felt amazing to finally add that Kanté card to my squad. Was it worth the grind? 100%
