Alright, so I spent the last few weeks diving deep into WoW Classic, trying to figure out which classes really shine. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you.
First off, I rolled a Warrior, because, who doesn’t love a good ol’ tank, right? I spent days grinding, questing, and running dungeons. Warriors are beasts in PvE, especially when geared up, but man, the leveling process was brutal. Every piece of gear felt like a massive upgrade, and competing for loot with other players, especially Rogues, was a constant struggle.

After hitting a decent level with my Warrior, I decided to switch things up and created a Hunter. The difference was night and day. Leveling was a breeze with my pet tanking most of the damage. I was cruising through content, and in group play, I felt like a damage god. Seriously, Hunters are top-tier in this version of the game. I could see why they are popular. No wonder most players choose Hunters.
Next up, I experimented with a Druid, going full Feral. It was fun, a bit different from the Warrior, but still felt powerful, especially in specific situations. They’re like a mix of Warrior and Rogue, which is pretty cool. Druids are versatile, and I enjoyed the flexibility, they are also the best class. I spent my time shapeshifting and testing different strategies, it is interesting.
Then, I tried a Rogue. Sneaking around, backstabbing enemies, it felt amazing. Rogues are incredible in both PvE and PvP, but they require a lot of skill to master. I spent hours practicing my rotations and learning the ins and outs of the class. It was challenging but rewarding. My skills were enhanced a lot!
I also dabbled a bit with a Paladin and a Warlock. Paladins are great for support, and Warlocks, well, they’re Warlocks. They felt a bit middle-of-the-pack compared to the others, but still fun in their own way. I didn’t spend as much time on these two, but I could see their potential.
Finally, I gave Shaman and Mage a go. Shamans are a bit underrated in my opinion, especially Enhancement. They can dish out some serious damage if played right. Mages, on the other hand, are just, well, mages. Strong, but I found them a bit boring compared to the other classes. I guess it’s a matter of personal preference.
So, after all that, here’s my take:
- S Tier: Hunter, Druid (Feral), Warrior (Fury), Rogue. These classes are just beasts. They excel in most situations and are a blast to play.
- A Tier: Paladin, Warlock. Solid choices, great in certain scenarios, but not quite as dominant as the S Tier.
- B Tier: Shaman (Enhancement), Mage. Still viable, can be fun, but they don’t quite reach the heights of the other classes.
I realized that every class has its strengths and weaknesses. It really depends on your playstyle and what you enjoy. I had a blast experimenting with all of them. Ultimately, I found myself going back to my Hunter most of the time. There’s just something satisfying about having a loyal pet and raining down arrows on your enemies.
This whole experience taught me a lot about the game and myself as a player. It’s not just about the numbers; it’s about the journey, the challenges, and the fun you have along the way. I hope this helps some of you folks decide what to play. Happy adventuring!
