Today, I wanted to try something a little different in Animal Crossing, so I went for the sinking painting. You know, the one that Redd sells.
Getting Started
First off, I needed to find Redd. I heard that he shows up on that tiny beach at the back of the island. So, I ran around my island checking every nook and cranny until I finally spotted his boat. It was a bit of a hide-and-seek game, but I found him!

Meeting Redd
Once I got to Redd’s boat, I talked to him. He’s a sneaky fox, and he had a bunch of art pieces. I looked through his stuff, and man, he had a lot – I learned there are 43 artworks in total in this game. That’s a lot to choose from! I made sure to check out the sinking painting carefully because I heard some of them can be fakes.
Buying the Painting
After looking around, I decided to go for the sinking painting. It looked pretty cool, and I thought it would be a nice addition to my museum. I paid Redd the Bells, and he said he would mail it to me. I was stoked – one step closer to getting that painting!
Waiting Game
Now came the waiting part. I had to wait for the painting to arrive in the mail. It felt like forever, but I kept myself busy with other stuff around the island. Finally, the next day, I checked my mailbox, and there it was! I quickly grabbed it and ran to the museum.
At the Museum
I found Blathers at the museum and showed him the painting. He’s always got something interesting to say. He took a look at it, and luckily, it was the real deal! He was pretty happy to add it to the museum’s collection. I felt like a real art connoisseur.
Success
So there you have it. I got the sinking painting, and it’s now hanging in the museum. It was a fun little adventure, and I learned a bit more about the artworks in the game. Plus, it was nice to outsmart Redd for once. If you’re looking for a new art piece for your museum, maybe give the sinking painting a try. Just watch out for those fakes!
