It’s like you’re standing behind the catcher, way back, but you still get a clear view of the pitch coming in. It gives you a great sense of the field, the batter’s position, everything. I noticed my timing improving, and I was picking up on different pitch types way easier.
Here’s the deal with ‘Catcher Far’:

- You get a clear view of the pitch from release to the plate.
- It feels more natural, at least for me, in terms of tracking the ball.
I stuck with ‘Catcher Far’ for a good chunk of my playtime, and I gotta say, it really made a difference. My hits were more consistent, and I felt more in control at the plate. I think to make it even better, I placed the camera right behind the toe line of the batter.
Of course, everyone’s different. What works for me might not work for you. But if you’re struggling to find the right camera angle in MLB The Show 24, I definitely recommend giving ‘Catcher Far’ a shot. It might just be the change you need.
