Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this Machamp in Pokémon Go, trying to figure out the best way to use him. I wanted to share what I’ve learned so far, it’s been quite the journey!
I started by catching a bunch of Machop, you know, those little fighting guys. I walked around my neighborhood, used a bunch of lures, and finally got enough candies to evolve one all the way up to a Machamp. It took some time, but it was worth it. I felt really accomplished when I finally saw that Machamp on my screen.

Then came the fun part: figuring out his moves. I did some battles in gyms and against Team Rocket, just testing stuff out. First, I tried using some Fast TMs to see if I could get Counter. That’s the fast move everyone says is the best. Took a few tries, but I finally got it! Then, I used some Charged TMs to try and get Dynamic Punch. Man, that took even more TMs, I almost ran out! But I stuck with it and bam, got it!
With Counter and Dynamic Punch, this Machamp was hitting really hard. I was taking down gyms like it was nothing. But I felt like something was still missing. I went back to the drawing board, did a little more experimenting, you know?
I figured that a second charged move would really make him tough. So, I saved up some more Stardust and candies – which, let me tell you, took forever – and unlocked that second charged move slot. I was thinking about what would be good to have besides another fighting move. I played around with some options. I thought about using Rock Slide, because it would be good against flying types. I ended up using even more Charged TMs to get Rock Slide. It was definitely a grind, but hey, I was committed!
Here’s what I ended up with:
- Fast Move: Counter
- Charged Move 1: Dynamic Punch
- Charged Move 2: Rock Slide
This combo is awesome. Counter is a great fast move, Dynamic Punch deals massive damage, and Rock Slide covers Machamp’s weakness to flying-type Pokémon. I also tried to roll for Steel Bullet, but I was out of TMs, and the Charged TMs are hard to get. And, there is also a move called Karate Chomp, but it is a legacy move, I don’t think we can get it now.
With this setup, my Machamp became a beast in raids and gym battles. I was so proud of him! It was a lot of trial and error, but I finally figured out a moveset that worked really well. It really made me feel like a true Pokémon master!
Conclusion
So yeah, that’s my Machamp story. It took a lot of work, but it was definitely worth it. If you’re trying to build a strong Machamp, I hope this helps you out. Just remember, it might take some time and a lot of resources, but don’t give up! The grind is part of the fun, right?
