Okay, so I’ve been diving into this “Altars of Sorrow” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I figured I’d jot down my whole experience, start to finish, in case anyone else is thinking of tackling this.
Getting Started
First, I fired up the game and headed over to the Moon. That’s where this whole thing kicks off. I spent a good chunk of time just finding the damn place to start. It’s a bit tucked away, you know? Not super obvious.

The Waves
Once I got the ball rolling, it was wave after wave of enemies. Seriously, they just keep coming! I tried out a few different weapon loadouts, and I found that having something for long-range and something for close-up worked best. Because, man, those big guys? They rush you fast.
- Wave 1: Pretty easy, just getting a feel for things.
- Wave 2: More enemies, a bit tougher, but still manageable.
- Wave 3: Starting to be a bit more work.
- Wave 4: The game is getting harder!
- Wave 5: Okay, this is where it got real. Those Nightmares? They are no joke. I died a couple of times here, no shame in admitting it. Had to figure out a good strategy for taking them down quickly.
The Boss Fight
After surviving all the waves, there are the final bosses. I do not want to spoil it too much, I fought them and beat them. It was a real test, but I finally beat the encounter, I feel pretty good.
I took some screenshots and videos, I’ll post my detail fighting video later.
Final Thoughts
Overall, “Altars of Sorrow” is a pretty fun activity. It’s definitely challenging, especially on those later waves, but it’s also rewarding. I managed to snag some decent loot, and it felt good to conquer something that pushed me a bit. If you’re looking for something to test your skills, give it a shot!
