Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into the Little Cup tier list lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I wanted to share my whole process, from clueless newbie to, well, slightly-less-clueless-but-still-learning player.
First Steps: Total Confusion
I started by just jumping in. I had some basic knowledge of Pokemon, but Little Cup? That was a whole new ballgame. I picked a few Pokemon I thought looked cool (big mistake!) and threw them together. Needless to say, I got absolutely destroyed online. Like, it wasn’t even close.

Research Time: Gotta Learn Somehow
After getting my butt kicked repeatedly, I realized I needed to do some serious research. I started scouring forums and watching YouTube videos. I found some tier lists, but honestly, they were just lists of names to me. I didn’t understand why certain Pokemon were considered top-tier.
- Reading, Reading, Reading: I spent hours just reading about different Pokemon, their movesets, their abilities, their stats…it was information overload, but slowly, things started to click.
- Watching Battles: Seeing good players in action was a game-changer. I started to understand how they used their Pokemon, how they predicted opponent’s moves, and how they built their teams.
Experimentation: Trial and Error (Lots of Error)
Armed with my newfound knowledge, I started experimenting. I built dozens of teams, trying out different combinations of Pokemon. Some worked okay, most didn’t. It was frustrating, but I learned something from every loss (and the occasional win!).
- Keep track of your loses and wins.
- Don’t get discouraged by loses, ana analyze to see the flaws in your team.
Finding My Groove (Sort Of)
I’m still no expert, but I’m definitely getting better. I’ve found a few Pokemon that I really click with, and I’m starting to understand the metagame a bit better. I’m even winning some matches now! It’s a slow process, but it’s incredibly rewarding.
Iteration is key
The meta is constantly evolving with new strategies, try to create teams that can adapt and change with it. Keep trying new combinations until it clicks!
So, that’s my journey so far. It’s been messy, frustrating, and incredibly fun. If you’re thinking about getting into Little Cup, my advice is this: be patient, do your research, and don’t be afraid to experiment. And most importantly, have fun! It’s just a game, after all.
