Okay, folks, let’s talk about how I finally snagged myself a Heracross in Pokemon Go. It was a bit of a journey, I gotta say!
So, I’d heard all about Heracross being a regional exclusive. And, of course, it wasn’t in my region. That’s just my luck, right? I started doing some digging, you know, reading up online and watching some videos. The main thing I gathered was that this bugger was only hanging out in South America and parts of Florida and Texas. Not exactly a weekend trip for me!
My First Steps
My first thought was, “Okay, maybe I can find someone to trade with.” I joined a few local Pokemon Go groups on social media. Asked around, posted a few “Looking for Heracross!” messages. No luck. It felt like everyone was in the same boat as me.
The Waiting Game… and Events!
Then, it became a waiting game. I kept playing, hoping for a special event. Niantic is known for those, right? Where they switch up regionals or feature them in raids worldwide. Months went by. I caught a ton of other Pokemon, but no Heracross. I almost gave up, to be honest.
The Breakthrough!
Then, BAM! It happened. Niantic announced a global event, and guess who was one of the featured Pokemon? You guessed it! Heracross was appearing in raids everywhere! I was so pumped!
Raid Time!
- Finding Raids:I used the in-game raid map. and also used other groups in other social medias.
- Battling Heracross:It’s a Bug/Fighting type, so Fire, Flying, Psychic, and Fairy moves are your best bet. I used my strongest Charizard and Moltres.
- Catching It: I used Golden Razz Berries and tried for Great or Excellent throws with curveballs. It took a few tries (and a few raids), but I finally caught one!
I was so relieved! Finally, after all that waiting and searching, I had my Heracross. And you know what? I even managed to snag a shiny one during the event! Talk about a lucky break!
