Okay, guys, let’s talk about this “make 3 great throws in a row” thing. I started this challenge today, and man, it was a doozy. I walked around my neighborhood, phone in hand, ready to catch ’em all, you know?
First, I tried to just wing it. I figured, “Hey, I’m pretty good at this game, I can just casually make these throws.” Nope. I wasted so many Pokeballs, it was embarrassing. I missed, I overthrew, I underthrew, you name it.

Then, I remembered something I read online. Someone said to use your mobile data if you make the throw, and to close the app if you miss. I thought I would give it a shot. When I do make a great throw, I quickly turned on my mobile data, and when I missed, I immediately closed the app and restarted it. It took a few more tries to get used to it.
I started focusing on my throws. I watched how the circle changed size. I practiced on some easier Pokemon, the ones that don’t move around too much. I found that it’s way easier to do the same throw 3 times quickly, like in 15 seconds, than spacing it out over a few minutes. Concentrated and threw. The circle is shrinking, threw again. Got another one.
Finally, I got into a rhythm. Lined up the shot, spun the ball, and released. Nailed it! Did it again, and again. Three great throws in a row, boom! I even managed to hit a few excellent throws along the way. They are honestly pretty easy on most Pokemon.
- Find your rhythm.
- Focus on the circle.
- Practice on easier Pokemon.
- Don’t be afraid to close and restart the app if you miss to save your progress.
I finished the challenge, and it felt great. It was way harder than I expected, but I learned a lot. Now I can finally get that Research Breakthrough and see what Pokemon I get this month. Gotta love those rewards. Keep practicing, and you’ll get it too!
