Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this MTG Explorer thing for a while now, and I gotta say, it’s pretty cool. I mean, I’ve been playing Magic for years, but this Explorer format on Arena? It’s like a whole new ball game. I decided to dive in headfirst and see what all the fuss was about.
First off, I had to figure out what decks were even good in Explorer. I did some digging and found out that there were some pretty popular ones that kept popping up in tournaments and on the ladder. You got your aggressive decks, your control decks, your combo decks, all that good stuff. So many choices!

Finding The Decks
I started looking around to see what people were playing. A lot of folks were posting about their decks and how they were doing. This helped a bunch. It gave me a good idea of what was out there. I found a bunch of top decks that people said were really strong.
Building My Deck
After checking out a bunch of decks, I decided to build my own. I picked the cards that I thought would work well together. It took some time, but I finally put together a deck that I was happy with. Then, I decided to give it a go. I hopped on Arena and started playing. It wasn’t all smooth sailing at first.
- I started by trying out some of the popular decks people were talking about. Some were good, some were not so good. It took a while to get the hang of each one.
- I did run into some powerful decks that just steamrolled me. There’s always gonna be those, right? But I learned a lot from those losses.
- I went back and made some changes. It was a lot of trial and error, but it was fun. And, slowly but surely, I started winning more games.
I kept tweaking my deck, trying out different cards and strategies. I even checked out some tournament results to see what the pros were playing. Some of their choices were pretty wild, but hey, they’re the pros for a reason.
After a lot of grinding, I finally felt like I had a solid deck. I was winning consistently and climbing the ladder. It wasn’t easy, but it was definitely rewarding. There is a qualifier season starting soon, I think I am ready for it.
So, if you’re thinking about getting into MTG Explorer, I say go for it. It’s a fun and challenging format, and there’s always something new to learn. Just be prepared to put in the work, and don’t be afraid to experiment. You might just surprise yourself with what you can come up with.
Anyway, that’s my story about getting into MTG Explorer. Hope you found it helpful, or at least mildly entertaining. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some more games to play. Gotta keep that win streak going, you know? Good luck out there!
