Man, I’ve been grinding away at Deadlock lately, trying to figure out who’s really worth my time. So, I decided to put together a tier list, and let me tell you, it was a journey.
First off, I played a ton of matches, like, way more than I’d like to admit. I tried out every hero, even the ones I thought I’d hate. I experimented with different builds, different team compositions, the whole nine yards. I even went to the internet to find some tier lists that other guys published, but those are just too simple and inaccurate. I decided to make one for myself.

My Grind and Data Collection
I started by making a simple spreadsheet. Yeah, a spreadsheet. Sounds boring, but it helped me keep track of everything. I noted down each hero’s win rate, their pick rate (how often people chose them), and how well they did in different roles. It was a lot of data entry, but I was determined.
After each match, I’d jot down notes. Did a hero feel overpowered? Underpowered? Did they synergize well with certain teammates? Did they get countered easily? I was like a mad scientist, scribbling down observations and trying to find patterns.
Then came the fun part – ranking! I decided to use the classic S, A, B, C, and even D tiers. S-tier was for the absolute beasts, the heroes who could carry a game on their back. D-tier was for the, uh, let’s just say “less fortunate” heroes. I will explain the tiers in details.
- S-Tier: These are the heroes that are currently dominating. They’re strong, versatile, and can fit into almost any team composition. If you see someone pick an S-tier hero, you know they mean business.
- A-Tier: Just a step below S-tier. These heroes are still incredibly powerful, but maybe they have a slight weakness or they’re a bit more situational. Still, A-tier heroes are a force to be reckoned with.
- B-Tier: These are your solid, reliable picks. They’re not going to single-handedly win you the game, but they’re not going to let you down either. B-tier heroes are great for filling out a team and can be really effective in the right hands.
- C-Tier: Now we’re getting into niche territory. C-tier heroes can be good, but they often require specific team compositions or strategies to really shine. They might also be easily countered by certain heroes or playstyles.
- D-Tier: Let’s be honest, these heroes are struggling right now. They might be underpowered, or maybe they just don’t fit the current meta. You might see someone pick a D-tier hero as a surprise pick, but it’s usually a risky move.
The Result?
It took me days, maybe even weeks, but I finally had my Deadlock tier list. It wasn’t perfect, and I’m sure people will disagree with some of my placements, but it was based on my own experience and data. And you know what? It actually helped me improve my game. By understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each hero, I could make better decisions during the draft and in-game.
So, there you have it. That’s how I made my Deadlock tier list. It was a grind, but it was worth it. Maybe I’ll share the actual list sometime, but for now, I just wanted to share my process. It’s not just about ranking the heroes, it’s about understanding the game on a deeper level. Who knows, maybe this will inspire you to make your own tier list. Now if you are a hardcore player like me, you will understand that making your own tier list is important!
