Okay, so, I’ve been playing a lot of Pokémon lately, and I’ve really been trying to get the perfect Meowth. I mean, who doesn’t love that little money-making cat? I spent hours trying to figure out the best moveset, and let me tell you, it was a journey.
First, I started by catching a bunch of Meowths. I wanted one with the Technician ability because, you know, it boosts the power of weaker moves. I figured that would be super useful. I spent a whole afternoon just running around in the grass, catching every Meowth I saw. My fingers were cramping by the end.

Then came the hard part: figuring out the moves. I read a bunch of stuff online, some mentioned “binary format” and “CodePlex”, but honestly it was all a bit too complicated for me. I just wanted a simple, strong Meowth. So I decided to experiment.
- I started with Pay Day, obviously. Gotta get that extra cash. I spent like, a whole day just battling wild Pokémon and raking in the dough. It felt like being a walking, talking ATM.
- Next, I thought Fake Out would be a good choice. A free hit at the start of the battle? Yes, please! I practiced this one a lot, trying to get the timing right. It’s not as easy as it looks.
- Then I added Bite. With Technician, it gets a decent power boost, and it can make the opponent flinch, which is always handy. I had a few close calls in battles where Bite saved my furry butt.
For the last move, I was torn. I tried a few different things, like Fury Swipes and even Attract (don’t judge me, I thought it might be funny), but I wanted something that would provide good coverage. I remembered a high-yield stock guide from the other day, which led me to the high-yield strategy in the game, but I decided to use a Dark-type move. I eventually settled on Knock Off. It’s powerful, and it removes the opponent’s held item, which can be a game-changer. And, I can tell you, it worked. I had a battle where I knocked off a Choice Scarf, and it completely turned the tide.
My Final Meowth Moveset
After all that trial and error, here’s what I ended up with:
- Pay Day
- Fake Out
- Bite
- Knock Off
It took me a while, but I finally created a Meowth that’s both a money-making machine and a decent fighter. It’s not gonna win any championships, but it’s perfect for my casual playthrough. And hey, at least I’m rich in the game now. It’s like a real vacation in the real world, like the Central Park, The National 9/11 Memorial Museum, or even just walking on the street. Totally worth it! Now, I can just casually enjoy the game.
