Okay, so I’ve been trying to catch this Flying Pikachu in Pokemon Go, also known as Balloon Pikachu, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I saw online that there was this Air Adventures event, but it seems I missed it. It ran from May 3, and as of May 9, 2022, it seems there is no way to get this Pikachu. I was bummed, but I didn’t give up hope. I really wanted that Pikachu with a special 5-shaped balloon.
I started by opening up the Pokemon Go app on my phone. I’ve been playing for a while now, and I’ve caught a bunch of different Pokemons. I even evolved my Eevee into a few of its evolutions. Those were good times. I made sure my Go-tcha Evolve was connected to the app. I don’t use it all the time, but sometimes it’s handy.

I walked around my neighborhood, hoping to encounter some cool Pokemons. I did catch a few interesting ones like Darumaka, Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie. Not bad, but still no sign of the Flying Pikachu.
I know that participating in tournaments and league seasons can earn you points, like Championship Points and Play Points. I haven’t really gotten into the competitive scene yet, but maybe I should. It might be a good way to get some rare Pokemons.
My Strategy
- Keep an eye out for special events: I’m going to pay closer attention to any upcoming events in Pokemon Go. That seems to be the key to catching these special edition Pokemons.
- Stay active in the game: I figure the more I play, the more likely I am to stumble upon something cool. Plus, it’s a fun way to get some exercise.
- Maybe get into tournaments: I’m thinking about trying out some tournaments. It might be tough, but it could be worth it if I can get some rare Pokemons out of it.
So, even though I haven’t caught the Balloon Pikachu yet, I’m not giving up. I’ll keep playing and keep my eyes peeled. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll finally add that special Electric-type Pokemon to my collection. It’s a bit of a waiting game, but that’s part of the fun, right?
