Alright, so, I’ve been playing a lot of Pokémon Go lately, as usual. And I’ve been really trying to catch this Genesect with the Techno Blast move. It’s a pretty cool Pokémon, a Bug and Steel-type, and Techno Blast is one of its special moves. Let me tell you, it hasn’t been a walk in the park.
First off, I had to figure out where to even find Genesect. See, this Pokémon isn’t just hanging around in the wild. I learned that it usually appears in raids, particularly in five-star raids. So, I started to join these raids, whenever I found a Genesect one. And those raids are no joke! You need to get together with other trainers, team up and battle it out with Genesect.

I battled in a bunch of raids. Some were successful, some not so much. It depends on who you’re raiding with and what Pokémon they use. I tried using Fire-type Pokémon mostly because Genesect is weak against fire. But you need to make sure that your Pokémon are strong enough, otherwise, it’s easy to lose.
- I leveled up my Charizard.
- I used a lot of Stardust and Candies.
- I even used some Rare Candies to power up my best Fire-type Pokémon.
Then came the hard part. Even after winning a raid, catching Genesect isn’t guaranteed. You get a limited number of Premier Balls to try and catch it, and the catch rate can be pretty low. I threw so many balls, used Golden Razz Berries to increase my chances, and tried to get those Excellent Throws.
A Few Close Calls
There were times when I thought I had it, the ball would shake once, twice, then… bam! It would break free. It was frustrating, to say the least. Sometimes it felt like I was throwing balls into a black hole.
But I didn’t give up. I kept raiding, kept battling, and kept throwing those Premier Balls. I also started to read up more on how to maximize my chances. I learned that using a Curveball throw can help, as well as timing your throws for when the circle is smallest.
And then, finally, it happened. After numerous raids, I defeated Genesect once again. I had a few Premier Balls left, used a Golden Razz Berry, and threw a Curveball aiming for an Excellent Throw. The ball shook once, twice, three times… and then it clicked. I caught it! I caught Genesect with Techno Blast!
It was a real grind, but it was worth it. Catching that Genesect with Techno Blast felt like a real accomplishment. It’s a strong Pokémon with a powerful move, and it’s going to be a great addition to my battle team. If you’re trying to get one yourself, my advice is: be persistent, don’t give up on those raids, and keep practicing those throws. You’ll get there eventually!
So that’s my story of catching Genesect with Techno Blast in Pokémon Go. It was a challenge, but it was also a lot of fun. It’s always a great feeling when you finally achieve something you’ve been working hard for in the game. Now, I’m going to start battling with it and see just how powerful it can be. Catch you all later, and happy hunting!
