Okay, so I’ve been grinding League of Legends lately, specifically focusing on the ADC role. I wanted to create my own ADC tier list, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I spent many hours to do this and I have to say it is not easy to create a tier list.
First, I started by looking at a bunch of other tier lists online. You know, the usual ones, with all their fancy algorithms and stuff. They talked about win rates, ban rates, pick rates, and all that jazz. I read things like, “Our statistical LoL ADC Tier List is updated hourly…” and “Our proprietary algorithm uses data…” I even saw a list by someone named HowlingLupo about ADC archetypes. Too much information for me.

Collect a bunch of Data
Then, I jumped into the game. Played a ton of matches, tried out different ADCs. I focused on which champions felt strong, which ones were easy to pick up, and which ones seemed to be popular in my games. It is really tiring to play so many games but I did it. I also noticed some websites mentioned that about 9,768,270 champions were analyzed, which is, like, a LOT.
Make a list of champions
Based on my games and what I saw online, I started making a list. You got your classics like Caitlyn, she’s always popping up. There’s this one about the “poster child of League of Legends,” but I honestly couldn’t figure out who they meant. Maybe it’s Jinx? I don’t know. But, I do remember seeing Ashe mentioned a lot as a good pick for beginners. I started with Caitlyn.
Experiment with different ADCs
I experimented with champions like Twitch, Jhin, and Kog’Maw. They all have their own thing. Twitch is all sneaky, Jhin’s got those crowd control abilities, and Kog’Maw can poke from super far away. Fun stuff, but it takes time to get the hang of each one. I spent the most time on Twitch and Jhin. Their gameplays are great and I love their design. Jhin is especially good for players like me who like to take some time to aim their shot.
Beginner-Friendly Picks
I noticed some sites kept recommending Ashe and Sivir for newbies. They said these champions are easy to learn and pretty strong right now. Ashe, Sivir, Caitlyn, and Miss Fortune were also mentioned as top picks for beginners in 2024. Okay, I get it, they’re good for beginners. The only problem I have with Ashe is that she is not as powerful as other ADCs, but I have to say she is quite easy to use. Other than that, the rest of the ADCs are quite good.
Finalize the Tier List
After all that playing and researching, I finally put together my own tier list. It’s not perfect, and it’s definitely not based on some fancy algorithm. It’s just my take on which ADCs are worth playing right now, based on my own experience and what I’ve seen around. It’s a rough list, but it’s mine. So, yeah, that’s how I made my ADC tier list. It was a lot of work, but hey, at least I had fun doing it. And, I can finally share my tier list with all my friends. They always ask me which ADC is good, and now I can just show them the list I spent so much time on.
- S-Tier: Jhin, Twitch, Caitlyn
- A-Tier: Kog’Maw, Miss Fortune
- B-Tier: Ashe, Sivir
So yeah, that’s my experience with creating my ADC tier list. Hope you all find it useful.
