Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with these three – Blastoise, Charizard, and Venusaur, right? The classic starters from back in the day. I wanted to see who would really come out on top in a head-to-head-to-head battle.
First off, I started by setting up the whole thing. I didn’t go super technical, just used some basic rules, kind of like the video games but a bit more… let’s say, free-form. Each of them got their usual moves. Blastoise with its water cannons, Charizard blasting fire, and Venusaur whipping around with vines and throwing those solar beams.

Then, I rolled some dice to decide who went first. Charizard got the first move. I figured, “Alright, let’s start with some fire!” So Charizard unleashed a big Flamethrower. I decided to aim it at Venusaur first, because, you know, fire versus grass and all that.
- Venusaur took a hit, obviously not happy. I made up some damage numbers, nothing too serious, just to keep track.
Next up was Blastoise. I had Blastoise use Hydro Pump on Charizard. Water beats fire, so I thought, “This should be good.”
- Charizard got soaked. Again, I jotted down some damage. It was pretty effective, as you’d expect.
Venusaur’s turn. It used Vine Whip on Blastoise, trying to get some damage in.
- It wasn’t super effective, but Blastoise still felt it. I noted the damage down.
I kept this going for a few rounds. Charizard would blast fire, sometimes at Venusaur, sometimes at Blastoise. Blastoise would mostly focus on Charizard with water attacks but occasionally threw a Water Gun blast at Venusaur just to keep it on its toes. Venusaur was a bit of a mixed bag, using Solar Beam when it could, but mostly sticking to Vine Whip or Razor Leaf. It tried to target whoever seemed to be doing the most damage at the time.
The Final Showdown
After a bunch of back and forth, it got pretty intense. Charizard was looking a little crispy, Blastoise had taken some hits, and Venusaur was, well, hanging in there.
- In one round, Charizard and Blastoise both went for each other. Big fire, big water. They both took a lot of damage.
- Venusaur saw an opening and hit Blastoise with a Solar Beam. That was a big one!
At the end of it all, Blastoise ended up being the last one standing. Charizard and Venusaur were just too beat up. I guess that makes sense, right? Blastoise’s defenses and type advantage really helped. It just shows that while fire and grass attacks are all well and good, sometimes the tough one with the biggest water cannons will win out.
It was a fun little experiment. Not exactly scientific, but hey, it was a good way to kill an afternoon. And it was pretty cool to see these three classic Pokemon going at it. That’s the story.
