Hey, folks, today I’m gonna talk a little about them Pool 1 decks in Marvel SNAP. Now, I ain’t no fancy person with all them big words, but I reckon I can tell you what works and what don’t in this here game. When you first start out in Marvel SNAP, you’re put in this thing called Pool 1, and lemme tell ya, you gotta work with what you got. But don’t worry, I’ll walk ya through it like we’re sittin’ on the porch havin’ a cup of tea.
Now, in Pool 1, you ain’t got a whole lotta cards to choose from. But that don’t mean you can’t build a mighty good deck. There’s a few strategies I like to keep handy. First up is the On Reveal deck. You know, them cards that do somethin’ fancy when you play ‘em? That’s the one I like. You got Ironheart, Odin, and the like. Ironheart gives a nice little boost to yer other cards, and when you drop Odin, he makes sure all them On Reveal effects happen again. It’s like cookin’ a stew—everything works together just right if you time it proper.

Then, you got your Kazar Zoo deck. Now, I know what you’re thinkin’, what’s a zoo gotta do with cards? Well, lemme tell ya. You put all them cheap little cards like Ant-Man and Squirrel Girl in there, then bring in Kazar to boost ‘em up. Them little critters get real strong real quick! It’s kinda like feedin’ the chickens—you give ‘em a little somethin’ and next thing you know, they’re runnin’ all over the place makin’ a ruckus!
Control decks, now that’s somethin’ else you might wanna try. These ones are about makin’ sure the other fella can’t play how they want. You got Jessica Jones and White Queen to mess with their plans. Jessica gets stronger if you leave her alone, and White Queen can snatch a card from the other fella’s hand, so you know what’s comin’. It’s kinda like when you know the weather’s gonna be bad, and you plan ahead to make sure yer crops don’t get ruined.
And I ain’t forgettin’ the Movement deck neither. That one’s a bit tricky, but if you get it right, it’s real fun. Cards like Nightcrawler and Heimdall help move your cards around the board, so you can surprise the other fella. It’s like wranglin’ a herd of cattle—ya gotta know when to move ‘em and where to put ‘em, else they’ll just scatter all over the place.
Now, lemme tell ya a few things you oughta keep in mind when buildin’ a deck in Pool 1. First, don’t get too fancy with it. Stick with cards that work well together, kinda like how you’d put potatoes and carrots in a stew—they just belong together, y’know? Also, keep an eye on what the other fella’s doin’. If they’re playin’ a bunch of big cards, maybe try to fill up your side with cheaper ones, so you can beat ‘em with numbers. You don’t always need the fanciest thing to win.
Lastly, remember this: the best deck is the one you know how to play. Ain’t no use in havin’ the fanciest cards if you don’t know how to use ‘em. Practice with what you got, and before you know it, you’ll be winnin’ more than losin’ in Marvel SNAP Pool 1. And that’s just about all the advice I got for ya today. So get out there and start playin’!
Hope that helps ya get a good start in Pool 1! Good luck!
