Alright, so I wanted to mess around with my Charizard in Pokemon Go, you know, figure out the best moves for it. It’s a classic Pokemon, and I just had to make it a beast in battles.
Getting Started with Fire Spin
First things first, I started looking into the fast moves. I quickly learned that Fire Spin is the way to go. I mean, it’s way better than Ember, that’s for sure. There’s also this move called Wing Attack, but I figured it’s only good if it’s super effective, otherwise, Fire Spin does the job just as well. So, I slapped Fire Spin on my Charizard and called it a day for the fast move.

Choosing the Right Charge Move
Now, the charge moves were a bit trickier. I read somewhere that Dragon Claw is pretty good because it does damage early and it’s pretty good against most types. Plus, it doesn’t suck against Rock types, which is a nice bonus. It’s not like it’s super effective or anything, but at least it’s not weak against them. I was pretty sold on Dragon Claw, and I gotta say, it works pretty well in most fights.
Experimenting with Blast Burn
I also heard about this move called Blast Burn. Apparently, it’s some kind of special move that makes Charizard even stronger. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but I figured, why not give it a shot? So I used one of those fancy TMs and got Blast Burn on my Charizard. It took a bit of work, but man, this move hits hard. It’s a bit slow, but when it lands, it really packs a punch.
My Final Setup
- Fast Move: Fire Spin
- Charge Move 1: Dragon Claw
- Charge Move 2: Blast Burn
So, after all that experimenting, I ended up with Fire Spin as the fast move, and both Dragon Claw and Blast Burn as the charge moves. This setup has been working great for me. Fire Spin for the quick hits, Dragon Claw for when I need something reliable and fast, and Blast Burn for when I really wanna take down something big.
It took some time and resources, but I’m pretty happy with how my Charizard turned out. It’s a real powerhouse now, and it’s fun taking it into battles and seeing it wreck things. If you’ve got a Charizard, I definitely recommend trying out this setup. It might take a bit of tweaking to fit your style, but it’s a solid starting point.
