Alright, so today I wanted to mess around with Charmander in Pokémon GO and see what kind of moveset I could come up with. You know, just trying to make this little fire lizard as strong as possible.
First, I popped open the game and took a look at my Charmander. It’s a Fire-type, obviously, and I remembered that it eventually evolves into Charmeleon and then that awesome Charizard. Gotta love that little flame on its tail, right? It’s like a mood ring, but with fire.

I started checking out the fast moves it could learn. Ember seemed like a no-brainer, being a Fire-type move and all. I saw it does 10 damage per second and also generates 10 energy per second. Not bad, not bad. I figured that would be a good starting point, so I went ahead and taught it Ember.
Experiment Time!
Next, I wanted to see what other moves I could pair with Ember. I mean, you gotta have more than one move, right? So, I dove into some battles and started trying out different combinations. I tested out some charge moves, some were good, and some were just meh.
- First Try: I tried using a combination of Ember and a low-level charge move. It was okay, did some damage, but nothing to write home about.
- Second Try: Then I switched it up and went for a more powerful charge move. This was better. The battles were going faster, and Charmander was holding its own.
- Third Try: But here’s where it got interesting. I found a charge move that, when combined with Ember, just wrecked the other Pokémon. It was like Charmander was a tiny, fire-breathing dragon or something.
After a bunch of battles, I finally settled on what I think is the best combo. It’s that Ember fast move paired with that powerful charge move I found. Seriously, this combo just melts through opponents. My Charmander was winning battles left and right. I was pretty stoked!
So yeah, that’s my Charmander experiment for today. It was a lot of fun messing around with different moves and seeing what worked best. If you’ve got a Charmander in Pokémon GO, I definitely recommend giving this combo a try. You might be surprised at how strong this little guy can be!
