Alright, so, I spent the whole weekend trying to figure out this “Swarm builds” thing, and let me tell you, it was a journey. Started off Friday night, thought I’d just quickly jump in and see what all the fuss was about. First thing I did was, I grabbed some snacks, got comfy in my chair, and started up the game.
Initially, I was totally lost, like a noob in a candy store. There are, like, nine champions to pick from? I saw names like Jinx, Seraphine, and a bunch of others I’d kinda heard of. I was like, “Okay, I guess I’ll just pick one randomly and see what happens.” Big mistake. Huge. I ended up choosing Yasuo because, well, he looks cool. I just wanted to quickly get into the action.

So, I jump into the game, and it’s chaos. Monsters everywhere, stuff flying all over the place. I’m just mashing buttons, trying to figure out what’s going on. I figured out you move with WASD, which is standard, so that was fine. But then there’s this whole auto-aim thing or you can aim with your cursor. I tried both, and honestly, I was just all over the place. I died. A lot. Like, a lot a lot. I spent the rest of Friday night and most of Saturday just getting my butt kicked. It was rough, not gonna lie. The game seemed daunting at first, but I knew I had to get back on my feet.
Saturday afternoon, I decided I needed to, you know, actually figure this out. I started to read and search about how this mode is designed to be. It’s fun, they said. Engaging, they said. I started looking up some guides, found some that talked about builds and stuff, which, to be honest, I usually just ignore in games. It was time to change things up. There were these things called “builds,” “weapons,” and some “passive upgrades.” I had no clue what those were, but it seemed important. Some guides were talking about champion-specific builds. Sounded complicated. These guides also mentioned choosing the right items. I thought to myself, “Items? In this game mode?”
But hey, desperate times, right? So I started paying attention to those. I learned that each champion has, like, their own special way to play and certain items that make them stronger. Some guides I found were really helpful, breaking down which items work best with which champions. They even had lists and stuff, ranking the champions. I tried some of the suggestions, like, I tried Jinx with a build I found, and it was a game-changer. I tried Illaoi. I felt like I was actually doing something! Some champions are good, some are not so good. I saw Seraphine. I saw Xayah. I tried them too. I did it! I understood the entry point skills I needed to start. Slowly but surely, I started to not die as much.
By Sunday, I was actually having fun. I was still experimenting, trying different builds, different champions. I even managed to survive a few rounds, which felt like a huge accomplishment. It was interesting to see how changing a few items could make such a big difference in how a champion played. There’s a lot more to this mode than I initially thought.
So, yeah, “Swarm builds.” It’s a whole thing. It’s not just about jumping in and shooting stuff, though that’s definitely part of it. You gotta think about your champion, your items, and how you’re gonna, you know, not die instantly. It took me a while to get the hang of it, but now I’m kinda hooked. I’m no expert, not even close, but I’m definitely getting better. I’m still trying to figure out all the best combinations and stuff, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
Anyway, that’s my Swarm story so far. It was a wild ride, but I’m glad I stuck with it. If you’re thinking about trying it, definitely do some reading first. Trust me, it’ll save you a lot of frustration. I hope to become one of the best players. It’s a challenge, but a fun one.
- First thing to do, pick your champion. There are nine of them.
- Move with WASD, aim with the cursor, or use auto-aim.
- Find a build guide. Trust me on this one.
- Try out different items and see what works.
- Don’t give up. It gets better. I swear.
- Survive.
Good luck, have fun, and don’t die too much.
