Alright, so, today I wanted to jump into Dead by Daylight, you know, get some of that sweet killer action, but guess what? The game just wouldn’t start. It was stuck on the loading screen forever, like, literally forever. I even went and made a cup of coffee, came back, and nope, still loading.
So, I thought, “Okay, maybe it’s just my internet being wonky.” I did a quick speed test, restarted my router, the whole nine yards. Everything seemed fine, my connection was as solid as a rock. Then it hit me – maybe it’s not me, maybe it’s them.

I hopped onto their official Twitter, and boom, there it was. A tweet saying they were having server issues. Apparently, a bunch of other players were having the same problem. They said they were working on a fix, but you know how these things go. Sometimes it takes minutes, sometimes it’s hours.
- Checked the game: It wouldn’t start, stuck on the loading screen.
- Checked my internet: Everything was working fine on my end.
- Checked the official Twitter: Found a tweet confirming server issues.
- Waited for an update: Kept an eye on their Twitter for any news.
So I decided to make the most of it. While I was waiting, I did some chores around the house, caught up on some YouTube videos, you know, the usual stuff. Every now and then, I’d check back on Twitter to see if there were any updates.
Finally, after like, two or three hours, they posted another tweet saying the servers were back up. I quickly launched the game, and what do you know, it worked! I was finally in, ready to chase some survivors.
My Takeaway
This whole thing reminded me that even with the best setups, things can still go wrong. It’s just one of those things you gotta deal with when you’re gaming online. It’s a good idea to follow the game’s official social media, so you can stay in the loop if something like this happens.
Also, don’t get crazy mad when servers are down! They will always get fixed, but you will not get back the time wasted being angry. At least, I won’t.
Anyway, that was my little adventure with Dead by Daylight’s server issues. Hopefully, it won’t happen again anytime soon, but if it does, at least I know what to do.
