Okay, guys, so I’ve been grinding Fortnite for a while now, and one thing that’s always bugged me is not knowing where all the chests spawn. I mean, who doesn’t love that sweet, sweet loot, right? So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and figure this whole chest spawn thing out. I started by scouring the internet, checking out what other folks were saying.
I found some useful stuff. Some websites have these cool interactive maps that show you all the spawn locations for the Battle Pass Weekly Challenges. Apparently, these maps get updated with new stuff at midnight every day. Others list all the cosmetics in the game and other stuff like the best settings for sensitivity and all of that. I even read that there are 23 Dr. Doom chests in the game and where to find them.

But I wanted something more concrete, you know? Something I could rely on every time I dropped in. So, I started jumping into games, landing in different spots, and just running around like a crazy person, trying to find every single chest in each location.
My Method
- Pick a Spot: I started with one location at a time. I focused on popular drop spots first because, well, that’s where the action is.
- Explore Every Nook and Cranny: I’d land, grab a weapon if I could, and then just run around, checking every corner, rooftop, basement, you name it. If there was a place a chest could be, I checked it.
- Mark it Down: I kept a notebook (yeah, old school, I know) and a pen next to me while playing. Every time I found a chest, I’d mark its approximate location on a rough map I sketched of the area.
- Repeat: I did this over and over again, in different matches, different times of day. I wanted to see if the spawns were consistent or if they changed.
It was a grind, no doubt. I got taken out more times than I care to admit while I was busy treasure hunting. But, slowly but surely, I started to see patterns. Some chests seemed to spawn in the same spots every time, while others were a bit more random. But even the “random” ones had a limited number of places they’d pop up.
After a few weeks of doing this, I had a pretty solid map of most of the major locations in the game, with all the potential chest spawns marked down. It wasn’t perfect, mind you. There’s always that one chest hiding in some obscure spot that I probably missed. But it was good enough for me.
Now, when I drop in, I have a much better idea of where to go for that early game loot. It’s not a guaranteed win or anything, but it definitely gives me an edge. And hey, it’s kind of fun being the “chest guy” in my squad. My friends are always asking me where to find the best loot, and I’m like, “Don’t worry, I got you.”
So yeah, that’s my story of how I became a Fortnite chest spawn expert. It was a lot of work, but it was totally worth it. If any of you guys are struggling to find chests, maybe try doing what I did. It might take some time, but trust me, it’ll pay off in the long run. Happy hunting!
