So, I started playing Final Fantasy VII Remake again because I wanted to get all the trophies. One of the hardest ones was the “Johnny Experience” trophy. To get this, you have to do all these little side things with a character named Johnny throughout the game.
First off, I made sure to follow a guide closely because I didn’t want to miss anything. When I first ran into Johnny in Sector 7, I made sure to talk to him during that whole chase scene. It was pretty easy to spot him since he’s always getting into trouble.
Then, later in Wall Market, there’s this part where you see Johnny running again. I followed him and found out he was in a bit of a pickle with some Shinra folks. I helped him out, and that was another step done.
Next, there were a few things to do in Wall Market’s side quests. In the “Discovery: Vagabond Johnny” part, I had to talk to Johnny’s dad in the inn. After that I go find Johnny to finish this part.
One of the more annoying parts was finding these items called “The Sauce,” “The Pepper,” and “The Oil” and get them to Johnny. This required me to do some random quests for the clothing store owner and the pharmacy. But once I got them all, Johnny was pretty happy, and I was one step closer.
Oh, and during the “Tomboy Bandit” quest, I made sure to get back the item from Kyrie and then make sure to talk to Johnny again. Just choosing the “Yeah” option when talking to him.
After that, I needed to clear all the “Discovery: Vagabond Johnny” events. I checked my map and went to all the marked spots, talking to Johnny each time. It was a bit of a grind, but I knew it would be worth it.
Finally, after doing all the main chapters and finishing all of Johnny’s side stuff, I got to Chapter 14. I made sure to talk to him one last time near the end, and boom, the trophy popped up! It was such a relief to finally get it.
Here’s a quick list of the main things I did:
- Encounter Johnny: Talk to Johnny in Sector 7 during the chase.
- Follow Johnny: Chase and help Johnny in Wall Market.
- Complete Discovery: Vagabond Johnny in Wall Market by talking to his dad and him.
- Collect Sauce, Pepper, and Oil: Do quests to get these items for Johnny in Wall Market.
- Tomboy Bandit: Talk to Johnny after dealing with Kyrie.
- Clear Discovery Events: Finish all marked Vagabond Johnny events.
- Chapter 14: Talk to Johnny one last time in Chapter 14.
My Feelings
Getting this trophy was a real test of patience. It wasn’t hard, just a lot of running around and talking to the same guy over and over. But honestly, seeing that trophy pop up made it all feel worth it. Now, I’m one step closer to getting that platinum trophy, and that’s a pretty good feeling.
