Okay, so, about Regieleki. I’ve been messing around with this Pokémon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I started out thinking, “Hey, this thing is supposed to be super fast, right?” I mean, base 200 Speed – that’s nuts!
So, my first move was to throw Regieleki into some online battles. I slapped a Timid nature on it to boost that already insane Speed even further. For EVs, I went with the classic 4 HP / 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Spe spread. Pretty standard stuff, nothing too fancy.

First few battles? Man, this thing is quick! It outsped almost everything, which was a blast. I was firing off Thunderbolts and Volt Switches like there was no tomorrow. But here’s the thing I started to notice: Regieleki is kind of a one-trick pony. It’s fast, yeah, but it’s also super fragile. A single Ground-type move and it was basically lights out.
My Team Composition
- Regieleki (Timid, 4 HP / 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Spe)
- A bulky Ground-type to switch into
- A couple of other Special attackers to cover weaknesses
I did try using it in some raids, just to see how it would do. It wasn’t terrible, to be honest. Its high Attack stat helped a bit. But honestly, if you’re looking for a solid Electric-type for raids, there are better options out there. It just doesn’t have the bulk or the move pool to really shine in that environment.
I also learned that not having Rising Voltage kinda sucks, especially when you’re up against teams that rely on Electric Terrain. And yeah, I know some people might say, “Why not just use Pinchurchin?” But come on, let’s be real, Pinchurchin is no good in most competitive situations. I’d much rather have something with a little more oomph.
After a bunch of battles, I kinda figured out that Regieleki is best used as a hit-and-run kind of Pokémon. Get in, do some damage, and then get out before something can hit it with a super-effective move. It’s all about predicting your opponent’s moves and switching at the right time. I added a strong Ground-type Pokémon to my team so that I can switch into it when I need to.
So, is Regieleki good? It is all my story of my experience. It’s got its strengths, for sure. That Speed is amazing. But it’s also got some serious weaknesses. You gotta know how to use it, and you gotta build your team around it. Otherwise, it’s just going to get knocked out before it can do much. You know what I mean, right? It’s all about finding that balance, figuring out what works and what doesn’t. It’s been a learning experience, that’s for sure. I am still not sure whether it is a good one.
