Hey guys, it’s your boy back again with another Pokemon Go adventure. Today, we’re diving deep into the world of Dragon Pulse, a powerful move that can really turn the tide in battles. I’ve been experimenting with it a lot lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride.
So, first off, I started by catching a bunch of Dratinis. You know, those cute little dragon fellas. Took me a while, had to walk around the park like ten times, and my legs were killing me by the end. But hey, gotta catch ’em all, right? Once I had enough candies, I evolved my best Dratini into a Dragonair and then finally into a glorious Dragonite. This whole process took me about two days. I was constantly on my phone, checking for spawns, raiding – the whole shebang. Man, my screen time was through the roof!

Next up, I needed to teach my Dragonite the Dragon Pulse move. Now, this was a bit tricky. I used a couple of Charged TMs, those items that let you change a Pokemon’s move. Let me just say, it’s pretty random what move you end up getting. I swear I got every other Dragon-type move before finally landing on Dragon Pulse. Felt like I was playing the lottery!
Once I finally got Dragon Pulse on my Dragonite, it was time to put it to the test. I joined a few raids, battled some gyms, and even tried it out in the Go Battle League. And let me tell you, Dragon Pulse did not disappoint. It hits hard, especially against other Dragon-type Pokemon. I was taking down those big, tough raid bosses like it was nothing. My Dragonite was a total beast! The feeling was awesome, seeing all that hard work pay off.
The Real Deal in Battles
- First, I hit up a local gym. There was this big, bad Tyranitar sitting there, looking all tough. I sent out my Dragonite, used Dragon Pulse, and boom! Took it down in no time.
- Next, I tried a raid against a Garchomp. Now, Garchomp is no joke, but my Dragonite with Dragon Pulse made it look easy. We won the raid, and I even got a shiny Garchomp out of it! Talk about a good day.
- Then there was the Go Battle League. Dragon Pulse was super effective against a lot of popular picks, like other Dragonites and those pesky Giratinas. I climbed up the ranks pretty quickly, thanks to my trusty Dragonite and its awesome new move.
I also experimented with using Dragapult, another Pokemon that can learn Dragon Pulse. The setup was similar – catching, evolving, and then using those precious Charged TMs. Dragapult is a Ghost and Dragon type, so it has different strengths and weaknesses compared to Dragonite. I found that Dragapult’s other move, Shadow Ball, was a great combo with Dragon Pulse. You can deal some serious damage with those two. This Pokemon has four Charge Attacks (Shadow Ball, Dragon Pulse, Outrage, and Breaking Swipe), I spent many Charged TMs to get the two skills I wanted.
All in all, getting and using Dragon Pulse has been a blast. It took some time, some luck, and a whole lot of walking, but it was totally worth it. Seeing my Dragonite and Dragapult dominate in battles is just so satisfying. If you’re looking to up your Pokemon Go game, I definitely recommend giving Dragon Pulse a try. It’s a game-changer, for real!
Anyway, that’s it for my Dragon Pulse adventure. Hope you guys enjoyed the story. Catch you in the next one!
