Okay, so, I wanted to get one of those cool gun buddies in Riot’s games, you know? I’ve seen other players with them, and they just look awesome. But I didn’t have an account set up to get one. So I figured, “Alright, time to get this done.”
First thing I did was open up my laptop. Then I opened up the game and looked around for where I could make an account. I clicked on the “Sign Up” button. There it was, right in front of me – the account creation page. I filled in all the usual stuff – email, created a password, the whole nine yards.

Then came the part I wasn’t too sure about – linking my bank account. I mean, I’ve heard stories about security issues, and I was a bit hesitant. I read somewhere that instant bank account verification is supposed to be secure, so I hoped that was true. I found the “Move Money” section, and then scrolled down to “Linked Accounts.” There was an option to “Link a Bank Account.” I took a deep breath and tapped it. It asked me to log in to my bank, which was a little nerve-wracking, but I went ahead and did it.
Once I was logged in, I had to choose the account I wanted to link. I selected my checking account and followed the instructions to verify it. It was pretty straightforward, actually. The whole process took like five minutes, maybe less.
After that, I wanted to add an extra layer of security. I remember reading somewhere about two-factor authentication. Apparently, it is a way to verify that you are who you claim to be. Usually it combines a piece of information that you know, such as a password. So, I went into the security settings and enabled two-factor authentication. Now, every time I log in, I get a code on my phone that I have to enter. It’s a little extra work, but it makes me feel better knowing my account is more secure.
And that’s it! I now have a Riot account, it’s linked to my bank, and it’s got that extra security. Now, I’m off to finally get that gun buddy I’ve been wanting. I just wish I had done this earlier!
- Creating a Riot account is easy.
- Linking a bank account can be secure.
- Two-factor authentication is a good idea.
