Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this game, right? And there’s this whole thing with “proc sets” that’s been driving me nuts. Let me tell you the whole story.
So, I jump into Cyrodiil, you know, the PvP zone, and I’m all excited to try out some new gear. But then I realize, “Wait a minute, something’s off.” My damage seems kinda… weak. I’m scratching my head, wondering what’s going on. Turns out, it’s because of these “proc sets.”

I had to do a little digging, ask around on forums and stuff, to figure out what the heck was going on. Apparently, a “proc set” is a type of gear that has a special effect that only kicks in when certain conditions are met. Like, “Hey, if you deal fire damage, you get a boost to your spell power for a few seconds.” Sounds cool, right? But here’s the catch – in the no-CP Cyrodiil, these proc sets are disabled. You know, so, it is a way to balance things, I guess, but it was throwing me off big time.
I started experimenting, trying out different combinations of gear. Some folks online were talking about this Shattered Fate set, saying it’s good for raw damage without relying on procs. So I crafted a bunch of pieces, slapped it on, and gave it a whirl. And guess what? It actually worked pretty well! I was holding my own in fights, even going up against multiple enemies at once. But when I tested it with Wretched Vitality, it didn’t work well for me, I just wasn’t doing enough damage.
But then I tried going back to using some proc sets in Battlegrounds. And man, what a difference! My score shot up like crazy. Those sets were doing like a third of my total damage. It was wild. So, yeah, proc sets are definitely powerful, even with the reduced damage in BGs.
My Experiments in Detail
- First try: I used to wear full proc sets, but in Cyrodiil, it did not work at all.
- Second try: I saw some folks talking about this Shattered Fate set online, I made a bunch of them and put it on, it works good!
- Third try: I mix Shattered Fate set with Wretched Vitality, it did not go well, I felt weak.
- Fourth try: I go back to full proc sets, but this time in Battlegrounds, it work like a charm, I was on fire!
The thing is, the game doesn’t really explain all this stuff about proc sets. You kinda have to figure it out yourself or rely on other players to tell you. Like, I found out there’s only one no-CP, no-proc campaign in Cyrodiil, and it’s called Ravenwatch. Good to know, right?
And it’s not just me who’s confused. I saw a bunch of people online asking which sets are proc sets and which aren’t. It’s like the game just assumes you already know this stuff. I even saw someone make a whole infographic about no-proc sets, listing out all the bonuses and stuff. That’s how unclear it is!
I saw one of the players saying that this allows healers to really shine. It makes sense when you think about it, they can focus on boosting healing output. I might give that a shot sometime.
Anyway, that’s my story about proc sets. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I think I’m finally getting the hang of it. It is a little bit tricky, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right? I will keep playing and find the best way for me.
