Alright, folks, gather ’round, gather ’round! Today, I’m gonna walk you through my little adventure of getting this adorable Ghost Netch pet in the Elder Scrolls Online. It all started during the Witches Festival, back in October 2023, when they first introduced this little fella into the game.
So, the Witches Festival, right? It’s that time of year where you go around bashing bosses and collecting these things called Dremora Plunder Skulls. And let me tell you, these skulls are like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re gonna get! But what I was hunting for were these Possessed Shreds.

Now, these shreds, they’re the key to getting our ghostly friend. You need ten of them to make it happen. Ten! So, I started my grind. Every boss I could find, I took ’em down. Each skull I cracked open, I was hoping for those shreds. Usually, you get like, one piece of a style, or maybe, just maybe, a single shred if you’re lucky.
But I was determined. I mean, who wouldn’t want a floating, spectral netch following them around? To get in the Witches Festival mood, I hopped into the game, started slaying bosses left and right. And with each skull, I’d click on those shreds as soon as I got ’em, just to keep track in my inventory.
- Find a boss.
- Beat the boss.
- Get a skull.
- Open the skull.
- Hope for a shred.
- Repeat. A lot.
You can check your progress in the Journal, under Achievements, then Holiday Events. It’ll show you how many you’ve got. And when you hit that magic number ten…
I kept at it, day in and day out. And then, finally, it happened. I got my tenth shred! I quickly combined all ten of them in my inventory. And bam! There it was, the Ghost Netch pet, all mine. And the “Haunted By Netches” achievement? Checked it off the list.
It took some time, and a whole lot of boss-bashing, but it was totally worth it. Now, I’ve got this awesome little buddy floating along with me on my adventures. If you’re looking to snag one for yourself, just remember: Witches Festival, Dremora Plunder Skulls, and ten Possessed Shreds. Happy hunting, everyone!
