Man, I spent the whole weekend trying to figure out the layup package requirements in 2k24. It’s way harder than I thought it would be!
First, I jumped into a new MyCAREER game. I was hyped up cause Season 2 just dropped with a bunch of changes. You know, new quests, shot timing adjustments, the whole nine yards. I was thinking, “Alright, time to dominate the court with some fancy layups!”

My Initial Attempts
- I started by tweaking my player’s attributes. I pumped up my driving layup ’cause that seemed like the obvious thing to do. Got it to a decent level, like 75 or so, I figured that’s gotta unlock some cool moves, right?
- Tried different layup packages available from the get-go. Some were kinda basic, nothing flashy. I messed around with the shot meter settings too, ’cause I heard that can make a difference.
But honestly, I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted. My layups were still kinda plain, nothing like the crazy stuff I saw online. So, I hit the forums and started digging.
The Real Deal
Turns out, it’s not as simple as just bumping up your driving layup. There’s this one package, I think it’s called “Long Athlete” or maybe it’s named after Giannis, that everyone’s raving about. But guess what? You need an 88 driving layup to unlock it! 88! And, people online keep saying, it is only for bigs. I mean, come on, that’s a grind and a half and I have no idea why that is only for bigs.
My Grind Plan
- Focus on MyCAREER quests: Gotta earn that VC and attribute upgrades. It’s gonna be a long process, but I’m determined to get that 88 driving layup.
- Experiment with shot timing: I’m still not 100% sure how much of a difference it makes, but I’m gonna keep playing around with the shot meter and timing settings. Every little bit helps, right?
- Keep an eye on the community: Maybe someone will find an easier way or some secret trick to unlock better layup packages. You never know with these games.
So yeah, that’s where I’m at. It’s a bit of a bummer that the best layup package is locked behind such a high requirement, but I’m not giving up. I’ll keep grinding, keep practicing, and hopefully, I’ll be throwing down some sick layups soon. If any of you guys figure out some other cool layup packages or have tips, let me know! We gotta help each other out, right?
