Okay, so I’ve been messing around with F1 24, specifically the Australia track, and I wanna share my setup journey. You know, Albert Park, it’s got those long straights and some corners that are pretty easy to take on, so you gotta find the right balance.
I started by just messing around. I wanted to see what felt right. I took parts from my baseline setup that I liked and just kinda threw them together. It was all about trying to maximize speed on those straights while still being able to handle the corners decently.

Here’s what I did:
-
Fiddled with the car setup – I started with a setup video I found and then tweaked it to make it my own. I like to get that balance, but I wanted to find the optimal car set up. I mainly use a controller, so my adjustments were made with that in mind.
-
Hit the track – Once I had something I thought might work, I started doing laps. I just kept driving, seeing how the car felt. And boy, did I drive a lot of laps.
-
Adjusted based on feel – Every few laps, I’d come back and tweak something. A little more here, a little less there. It was all about getting that perfect feel. Sometimes my adjustments were great, and sometimes they were, well, not so great.
-
Repeated the process – I did this over and over. Drive, tweak, drive, tweak. It was a lot of back and forth, but it was fun seeing how each change affected the car’s performance.
After a while, I started to get a setup that felt pretty good. I was getting faster, and the car was handling the way I wanted it to. It wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely an improvement over where I started. You know how it is, sometimes the smallest adjustments make the biggest difference.
Then, I kept practicing with this setup. I did a bunch of longer race sessions to see how it held up over time. I wanted to make sure it was good not just for a quick lap but for a whole race. After all, what good is a fast car if it can’t last the whole race?
Finally
Finally, I felt like I had something I was happy with. It’s a setup that works for me, but it might not work for everyone. It’s all about finding what feels right for you. And the best part? I had a blast figuring it all out. It’s always fun to tinker and see what you can come up with, even if it takes a few tries. This setup process taught me a lot about the game and the track, and I hope my ramblings here help some of you guys out there too!
