Yesterday, I finally got around to playing FIFA 23. You know, I’ve been hearing about this Ruud Gullit card for a while now, and I was itching to see what all the fuss was about. I mean, I’ve seen his stats, 90 rated, 93 rated for the prime version, the guy’s a beast on paper – 6’3″, can play anywhere on the field. So, I booted up the game, jumped into Ultimate Team, and decided to give this legend a go.
First off, getting the card wasn’t a walk in the park. I remember last year when people were saying he was worth over 3 million coins, and that’s no small change. I didn’t have that kind of in-game currency lying around, so I had to grind a bit. Played a bunch of matches, completed some objectives, you know, the usual hustle in these games to earn some coins.

Getting Gullit on My Team
After a few days of playing, I managed to scrape together enough to get my hands on Gullit’s card. I went for the 90-rated medium version, which was more within my budget. I slotted him into my team as a center midfielder because that’s where he apparently shines the most.
- First match with Gullit, and I could immediately feel the difference. The guy’s a tank. He’s everywhere, winning balls, making tackles, and his presence on the field is just immense.
- His passing is a dream. Every through ball, every long pass, it’s like he has a sixth sense for where his teammates are going to be.
- Shooting-wise, he’s lethal. I scored a couple of bangers from outside the box, and his finishing inside the box is just as good.
Experimenting with Positions
But I didn’t stop there. Given that Gullit is known for his versatility, I started experimenting with him in different positions.
- I tried him as a striker, and boy, was he a threat. His height and strength make him a nightmare for defenders on crosses, and his finishing ability meant I was scoring goals left and right.
- Then, I moved him to the defense, just to see how he’d fare. And guess what? He was just as solid. Tackling, intercepting, winning headers – he did it all.
Final Thoughts
After playing with Gullit for a while, I can honestly say he’s worth the hype, and then some. He really does embody that Total Football philosophy, being able to play anywhere and excel. If you’re playing FIFA 23, and you have the chance to get Gullit on your team, do it. You won’t regret it. He’s not just a game-changer; he’s the whole damn game.
